Mole in the ground, a traditional American song, possibly originating in North Carolina...or at least that's what the Wikipedia seems to suggest.

A song introduced to me in Peru of all places by a Banjo-playing, tobacco-chewing missionary from North Carolina called Robert. His version of the song got me in to the country/bluegrass stuff.
