In his final days,my father vividly saw things which obviously weren't there. He was otherwise sound of mind,so this was very odd. That's when I found out about Charles Bonnet syndrome.

Charles Bonnet syndrome causes a person whose vision has started to deteriorate to see things that aren't real.

The hallucinations may be simple patterns, or detailed images of events, people or places.

They're only visual and don't involve hearing things or any other sensations.

It's important to be aware that hallucinations associated with Charles Bonnet syndrome are caused by failing eyesight. They're not caused by a mental health problem or dementia.

People with Charles Bonnet syndrome are usually aware that the visions aren't real, even if they're vivid.
There are 2 main types of hallucination that people with Charles Bonnet syndrome tend to experience.

They may see:

simple repeated patterns
complex images of people, objects or landscapes
Simple repeated patterns can take the form of grids, shapes or lines, which can appear in bright or vivid colours. The patterns may lay across or cover everything the person sees.

More complex hallucinations can involve people, places, animals and insects.

Not much I can do about the tragic events in Ukraine. I've decided that the aggressors can't appropriate the Z, so I'm taking it back in this metaphorical musical battle.

This is a tweaked master (for some of you this may be basics). I moved both the organ and vocal noisegate from last to first in the effects chain. This allows the effects such as delay to work and sound as intended. Also tried a saturator on the lead "high" vocal to make it stand out more in the mix. You will all let me know if this worked (it is most noticeable at the end where you can hear the organ fade out with the planned delay). On a side-note if anybody is interested in how the "sucking" effect is achieved on the drums it is using a combination of regular and reverse reverb.

Sleep Like You

There's Lizzards on the walls in my hotel, it's hot as hell and it don't smell like my home town.
There's strangers in the halls, and the Punjab calls
while children laugh out loud without regard or regret

Ensconced in cotton course and white
the Charpois wait for another night
and the jet is on the runway, waiting for the northern flight
and Kashmir waits with open arms and mountains bright.

There's Lizzards on the walls of my hotel
Theres loaded Tongas on the teeming street that's lined with open stalls of spice and fruit and brass and salt and hanging meat.

There's Lizzards on the walls
Marigolds strung on strings wrapped around all kind of things.
Beggers on the street with broken arms and legs and feet, still smiling as they reach through diesel fumes and swarms of flys and eyes that stare longingly for some relief.

The Privileged life it dawns on me i didn't see till then and there
where a thousand stare in disbelief 
Humbled like a thief before the judge.

Songs: We find them unpainted in our hands, throw them up into the air of our imagination, turning them in the colours we see after we close our eyes until they feel just right, and sometimes we catch them perfectly, without blemishing them...

Real music. Really played, really sung, really written by really musicians. No loops, collages of samples, any sampled instruments are played by hand, no drum machines, well sometimes if needs must... (aint no rules after all!).

I work in different styles, as the inspiration, dreams or bubonic plagiarism comes! I use Logic Pro X on a 27" iMac.
 
I write, produce and play all my own stuff (unless otherwise stated), 'sing' if unavoidable, play vintage Tokai strats mainly, classical guitar, keyboards and sax. I use an iPad to control Logic Pro X and Omnisphere 2. I use Native Instrument's Komplete Ultimate 13 and also produce my own organic samples. I love Hollow Sun's unique synths and samples too - The late Steve Howell's www.hollowsun.com 

I mix on Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's and HD 650's (closed and open) when not making a bigger noise through Mackie studio monitors. I use Focusrite Clarett 2Pre ThunderBolt and Apogee audio interfaces, iSK condenser AKG dynamic mics.
