"Death Of Hydra" ist der programmatische Titel und erklärt sich so: Wenn man einer Hydra einen Kopf abschlägt, wachsen direkt zwei Köpfe nach - sagt die griechische Mythologie. Genau so, nur ohne Schwerthieb und Massaker und Blut, ist aus dem Duo Captain Capa plötzlich ein Dreiergespann geworden. Dass dieses martialische Unterfangen nicht spurlos am Sound der Band vorbeizieht, war zu erwarten. Dass sich Captain Capa allerdings gleich meterweit aus dem Fenster ihrer Elektropop-Comfort-Zone lehnen, überrascht dann doch. In drei Songs, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein könnten, lotsen „Die Neuen Captain Capa“ aus, was sie dem geneigten Hörer an Abwechslung überhaupt zutrauen können. Das dreiköpfige Biest steigt als düsterer Technostampfer, als verdrogtes Pop-Epos und als in Stars und Stripes gewickelte Emo-Hymne über die Trümmer des Captain Capa Backkatalogs. Das heißt für die Bühne: mehr Hände, mehr Knöpfe, mehr Zufälle, mehr Unfälle. Das kann auf Tour eigentlich nur noch zur unabdingbaren Selbstzerstörung führen, zu der die Band herzlich einlädt.
