Wrote this a couple of months ago, then recorded it and thought it was about time to light up my cloud a little. 

Gravity

I've been trying to write some more acoustic-based songs and this one was really fun to play with. I wrote/recorded this at the same time over a very short time, so I'll have to sort out the lyrics here and there to fix some random words and an excessive use of the word 'down'. I was feeling down when i recorded it, so the lyrics reflects a one track mind or something. I hope some of you might really like it though, as i now like the quirky nature of my voice / lyric choice.

I'll be impressed if the meaning behind the song is easily understood, but the general emotion gets through nicely with the harmonies etc. so i'll stop explaining away the song now.

Twilight

I had an impulse to share what happened that one time i found a band to cover my short-comings. This is literally Philip & The Reindeer for the first and only time... so far (please disregard the band not being, in the literal sense, reindeer, but mere human beings with an excess of potential and capabilities far above the rest of our species, including myself). So a big thanks to Markus, Erik & Eirik for embodying my better self as The Reindeer. This is from late fall of 2017.

This song is the third out of six tracks I wrote and recorded to complete my time studying in Wales. This one is called settle down and it's about noise and my part in creating it.

Temper! Temper!

03 - Settle Down

This is track four from an EP i created for my final project at The University Of South Wales. It is about dramatising situations in your mind and how what felt like the world ending can feel like nothing after breathing for a day or two.

04 - Four

This is about being afraid, feeling helpless and trying to ignore it. I recorded this in one take with the help of my friend Tobias and added various sounds on top of it. I wanted it to sound very dissonant at times and avoided fixing any mistakes to make it fit what i'm singing about.

01 - Denial

Track 02 is a bit different. It is about the regret felt when i realise i have made a fool of myself and my process of coming to terms with memories i'd rather forget.

Parts of this recording was done a year ago with the help of Beri and Josefine, during the second year of my university studies.

02 - Naked

Track 05. Been playing with this idea for a couple of years. It is about being self-involved.

05 - Special

Soundcloud is a good cloud to be on. Reindeer and I release our songs to attain any form of external validation. Songs may appear and disappear at times as Tomorrow becomes Today, becoming who they are meant to be in the process.
