Underground king and dance-floor hustler Phil Austrom lives for the party. Drawing from his background in jazz and a passion for high-energy grooves, Phil found his calling behind the decks at renegade bush raves across British Columbia. In 2023, Phil founded Howitzer records; eschewing the constraints of genres, Howitzer Records’ sole focus is dance music of uncompromising quality.

We have gotten to know Phil over the last few years and like a fine wine, he just keeps getting better (shenanigans and all). But seriously, it has been a pleasure building our music repetoire with this strapping young lad. Phil is what they mean when people say "surround yourself with talented people."
