It's been a while since my last podcast, as I have been focused on producing lately. More on this later, but I'm excited to share that I'll have a track released on Gene's Nug Net label in 2024. 

However, the other day, while watching the masterclass set by @GeneOnEarth b2b @Dyed-Soundorom, extracted from their @DimensionsFestival recording, I felt motivated to finally pick a few records and press record. It's a bit different than usual, as Gene and Dyed's set is peak-time club music, so I've decided to do a similar mix. Of course, in a home environment, it's quite strange, as there's no crowd in front of you to give you energy, but yeah, I'm opening with a solid intro track and keeping the intensity high for the first 30 minutes, then slowly bringing the vibes down to the end.

When I was a resident DJ at @YaltaClub, I had the opportunity to play numerous closing sets after big heavyweight DJs, often even after some techno DJs. So even though some people think that warming up is the most difficult 'job' as a DJ, I think it's the opposite. To play a peak-time set and make sure that all people are dancing, but still be versatile in your selection, not making compromises with quality, then bringing the crowd to more deep and twisted tunes in the early morning. This can happen once you've got them to trust you, usually when you've delivered what they want in the beginning, and in almost 100% of cases, people, after 4-5 a.m., want strong basslines, grooves with a lot of pressure – as simple as it sounds, but not so easily achievable, especially when in front of 2-3k or more people. This is my favorite slot to play music, when things get really interesting. You have to be fully focused and prepared. :)
