This is a cheering song for punks. Everything by myself. Main genres are Punk / Pop Punk. The moods are Energetic, Upbeat. The overall vibes are inspired by The Clash. Simplicity and passionate vocal. The sounds of guitar and bass are inspired by Green Day. I love their lively music. The goal was to make music as open as theirs. In creating, anyway, I tried to make a punk song that is simple. There's nothing difficult about the guitar, bass and drums. I would be really happy if someone heard this song and decided to start a band. The chorus is very very easy to remember! I want the audience to play loud at the party.

Once again, I realised the monthly @themusicollective playlist was almost upon me, so tried to quickly cobble together a song. The bulk of this (including verse 3, 4 and the chorus) originates from a songwriting challenge (of writing a verse or chorus a day for a month) I did during the lockdown, and I just added verse 1 and 2 this morning. Somehow turned into a song somehow dealing with anxiety and somewhat influenced by the current heatwave. Oh, and musically I stole the riff I figured out for Jolene!

Monday morning pries your eyelids open with a cheeky grin
And without warning anxiety tries to start its quest of creeping in
You feel the scorching sun summon the heat 
The battle of torture and fun begins to tickle your feet

Hey there! I’m Phil Dutton, a music enthusiast, producer, composer, and singer from the UK. Alongside my long-time song writing partner, Les Corlett (who’s also an incredible vocalist—check out our older Caroda material!), we’re thrilled to have you here.

Our latest album, ‘BLACK ICE’ is now up on Soundcloud. It’s our sixth album in the last 20 months, and we’re genuinely proud of the tracks we’ve crafted together. We create all our music at home using Cakewalk on a trusty PC. I compose the songs, play all the instruments then record, mix and master them, Les sends me his incredible lyrics. between us we have written and produced hundreds of songs over the years. This is just the last couple of years worth.
