For this installation of the L.I.E.S. Podacast series we have a mix from Sling and Samo of Stockholm. Through the years the duo have been heavily involved in Stockholm's world of underground electronic music, running numerous labels together, djing, and throwing loft parties, whlist Samo was a longtime employee at Snickar's Records.

Fast forward to the present, Sling and Samo have started their own imprint Born Free Records (see links below) http://www.slingandsamo.com/ http://soundcloud.com/bornfreerecords putting out and remixing an interesting array of local talent from Stockholm with an always unique take on different strains of electronic music.

Sling and Samo can also be found on the elusive LIES-BLK 02 with "DJ Tool #1" while Samo can be found with a solo effort of edits on LIES-BLK 03. Furthermore, Samo has an upcoming full length lp for L.I.E.S. this fall called the KWC 92 project alongside his good friend Max. More info on that later.

This mix sees the duo going for it tweaking various strains of acid, house, wave and the like. Sounds from Willie Burns, Nation, ripped up Torn Hawk, some messed up Lil Louis and the now famous Unovidual " Comme Je Suis" Samo edit are all present creating a hell of an adventure from this prolific duo.

Hailing from Perugia, italy ,Simoncino is HOUSE. Not only is he HOUSE, he is a House obsessive, a student of the game, an observer and most importantly a contributor. Nick Anthony Simoncino has put it all on the line committing himself to the sounds of the past and bringing them into the present with passion and reverence. We're pleased to present this mix of deepness and sleaze from a modern master of the Italian house underground.

For this edition of the L.I.E.S. artist podcast series we welcome the one and only Willie Burns. Also known as William Thomas Burnett, bossman of W.T. Records, Burnett is a veteran of the game as he's been deep behind enemy lines for a long long time. If you're looking, you can usually find Burnett deep in the basement of The Thing, the largest used record store in all of NYC or in his studio down the block working late into the night as he sips a bottle of moderately priced red wine. 

Never one to follow the trends, here we have Burnett mixing almost an hours worth of what he describes as "early street techno trance" a genre which undoubtedly has been now brought to the forefront from his days digging in the basement of the Thing. Done in one take, it's wild breakbeat driven, trance-laden trip as the author suggested, so get ready to take a pill and throw your hands in the air.

L.I.E.S. podcast-006: Willie Burns

At some point of the work week starting November 4th 2013 we will see the release of Voiski's "IAI Movement"  ep for L.I.E.S. 

The producer, a humble man by the name of Luc Kheradmand has been quietly making some of the more interesting an innovative techno tracks in the vibrant Paris scene through the last years with releases on WT Records, Construct Reform, Demented, Syncrophone and his own Silicate label which he has been running since 2008 (see www.silicate.fr )  

Kheradmand can usually be found in the studio working on one of his many constantly morphing musical endeavors or possibly even holding court discussing the Ferrari racing team with certain comrades. In this podcast we hear Voiski deliver a devastatingly amazing hour long live PA at the Construct Re-Form night at Batofar in Paris, which confirm the fact that the man can execute at home in the studio or in front of a crowd.

It’s hard not to be charmed by the energetic and affable Sankt Göran. Originally from the north of Sweden he is now residing in Berlin where he stays busy as a dj, producer and head of his label The Free Spirit Society that just came out with another great 12 inch featuring fellow Swedes Johanna Knutsson and Hans Berg. Always with a smile and often dancing behind the turntables as if he were on the dancefloor himself Sankt Göran is sure to get you grooving faster than most. Therefore we’re happy and honored to include him in our podcast series.
