Thanks Philip - an excellent and useful comparison. My only question / comment is why indoors for this test. All audio wisdom I come across says use a hypercardioid indoors not a shotgun due to phasing issues from wall reflections. Do you a agree with that and would an outdoor test have had more validity?

A listen to these difference mics with a few thoughts too! Made to specifically look at the new Rode NTG4+.

Why these mics? They are the ones I own. Why not other shoguns? Because I don't have them and so therefore it's quite tricky to include! :)
