And while his Up The Stuss imprint houses a large percentage of these secret weapons, the curated approach to the label’s release schedule has meant that a new project has been in the works for a while now. Introducing UTSOFF - a special series that builds on the label’s forward-thinking ethos when it comes to house music from across the spectrum. Locked away in the vault while being tried and tested on special occasions, including his Printworks debut and recent Mixmag Lab in London, there’s no better way to kick things off than opening with ‘All Night Long’ - a signature Stussy production that looks set to elevate his rise even further via a skilfully crafted journey through rich synth melodies, skippy drums, and the iconic vocals at the heart of things. Not stopping there, the b-side is loaded with the warping and cosmic sonics of the excellent ‘Rose Bay’ for a special bonus treat.

Returning to Up The Stuss in style fresh from his collaborative Across Boundaries project with label head honcho Chris Stussy, it’s pretty clear that Utrecht-based DJ, producer and live talent Locklead’s purple patch isn’t going anywhere as he continues to unveil his sharp-edged, heady and cosmic sound to an ever-growing selection of fans. And when artist and label link and complement one another effortlessly, creating a home away from home, comfort and freedom take creativity to a new height.

For the sophomore release on UTSOFF, a series launched by Stussy’s soaring ‘All Night Long’ earlier this year, the enigmatic Dutchman delivers ‘Moon’ - a shimmering slice of house music that’s been the topic of endless ID requests since featuring as a stand-out track in Stussy’s Sonar Week sets. A true showcase of his innate talent as an artist, drawing from all corners of the genre, the track - written and produced solo while featuring his own vocals throughout - welcomes a trip into the mind of one of modern house music’s most exciting new names. In contrast,’ Hazy Gaze’ is a moody journey through tumbling textures, wonky synths and spacey tones, delivering two cuts for varying moods and moments, and another essential addition to the UTS catalogue.

Riding high as ANTS’ Next Gen 2024 winners, London-based DJ duo FIRZA are in the midst of a breakout twelve months, with a busy 2025 schedule within Europe coupled with recognition of their percussive sound from the likes of Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati. With previous releases on Microhertz, NATURE, and WYLD, to pair now join Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with their three-track EP ‘Erase It’ on 27th June, bringing their dancefloor-ready sound to a label they’ve long admired. 

“Releasing on Hottrax is a huge milestone in our music career, and it's a massive honour being welcomed onto a label we admire so much. Jamie has been a big inspiration to us from the start, and we’ve been sending him music for years, hoping for this moment. Hottrax has always been a go-to label for our sets, and we’ve played tunes from its catalogue at almost every gig we've done, so to now be part of that legacy is surreal. These tracks were made with the dancefloor in mind and to bring energy during those peak-time moments in the club. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making them!” - FIRZA. 

Title track ‘Erase It’ unfolds through rich, undulating grooves and sub-shaking basslines, layered with crisp tech beats and rolling, low-ends. Next, ‘Feel 4 U ’leans into a darker rhythm with echoing textures that shimmer through, showcasing FIRZA’s knack for groove-powered direction. Closing out the EP, ‘Closer’ centres on percussive-driven beats, where wobbling sonics and thumping patterns define the track’s vibrant energy and dynamic vibe.
