01 - The Loneliest Boy In The World

Philip James Turner & The Crow Mandala is a six piece alt-pop/alt-country/rock band from Morecambe, England. The band’s sound is as eclectic as the players which count NHS staff, a mobility scooter sales man, a sandwich maker, a plumber who was once a chef, and a Wizard who specialises in the Medieval visions of the otherworld : the Visio Monachi de Eynsham & its antecedents . Nb. He’ll lavish you with a rousing rendition of the Ulysses cartoon theme tune for enough vodka and coke. 
 
Musically they’re being haunted by 70s L.A one minute only then to be bent around some tender lament to the lost love of a lonely cowboy out on the plain. Fans of The Doors, The Beatles, Bowie, Elvis & Cash will get on with Turner and Co. just fine. 
 
Formed in 2014 for a one-off performance at Wayne Hemingway’s Vintage by The Sea Festival, the band had already built up years of experience between them. Most of them have played all the notable independent venues in the North West as well as a huge array of private and corporate events across the UK and mainland Europe. This, coupled with each player’s natural ability, allowed them to quickly learn and finesse Turner’s songs which naturally lead to more gigs, and so it goes on. TBC!
