Deep Electronics celebrates it's 10 anniversary and for this occassion I started this compilation to invite artists to express there music again in all it's diversity in genres. New artists and artists that where there at the very beginning of the podcast and label. My intention was always to combine music and photography. Later on digital renders where the face of almost every set and release.

Deep Electronics was and is always a podcast for producers and dj's to get the exposure they need and deserve. You always have to start somewhere! I hope I could contributed a little bit in there long and amazing road for them in music.

I would like to thank you all producers, dj's, followers and people that just listen. Without you this 10 years wasn't be possibel!

I hope you enjoy this release as much I did in compiling it.

Of the artists who inspired the launch of 3am Recordings, Miles Hollway & Elliot Eastwick are probably those who are at the top of the chart; initially producing as the superb Salt City Orchestra with Si Brad, then latterly as Reset, with Merlin, providing yet more absolutely outstanding deep vibes. I've already recorded 'A Nod to Salt City Orchestra', so felt it was time to do 'A Nod To Reset', as their tracks remain regular features in my sets to this day. Those familiar with their vinyl will understand the reason behind the artwork used for this mix.... Max Wyatt - July 2023

A preeminent artist of Chicago’s 3rd wave, @AndrewEmil has been a respected fixture and familiar face in its vibrant and diverse music scene for over two decades. A concert-trained percussionist since age 11, Emil earned a chair in his native Kansas City Symphony but eventually moved to Chicago in the late nineties. As a traditional musician, he has worked as a keyboardist, arranger, and orchestrator on hundreds of recording sessions and productions.

Cutting his teeth at the former Chicago Trax Recording Studios,  he crafted a reputation for House Music productions in Chicago under his own name, as well as Broadway & Wilson, and Uptown Tones. Emil's composition and studio productions range from concert works, sound design, and film scores to hundreds of releases of electronic music productions spanning over seventy international music labels.

2012 saw the emergence of his epithet, Change Request, with the Change Theory EP on four play music. This new persona allowed the freedom to explore hybrids of mid-tempo live instrument-focused jazz-dance-fusion.

This mix from Andrew Emil / Change Request has a decided preponderance of his own recent productions. Showcasing his wide musical dialect, sonic palette, and groove leanings, this set illustrates Emil’s aptitude for creating original music productions, useful edits, and masterful rewrites/covers—or what he refers to as “Change Request ReVisions." He even bookends this with two ambient abstract pieces of musical noir.
