The battle takes place in an area styled after the cliffs, and the DREAM Warriors ride on flaming bikes during the fight with Lancer.
Like Spamton, he was abandoned by his fellow card kids, wanting to become the WILD CARD of SAPHHIREPOLIS.

Undyne is the Asriel replacement. After having spent years on a pseudo mental health retreat, doing the Underground equivalent of going out in the woods for a while, she's spent a lot of time training, becoming stronger, so that one day, when she returns and takes her rightful place as empress -- until the young prince is old enough to take over -- she can wipe the smirk off any human that comes her way.

But after Frisk gets through to the humans whose souls Undyne absorbed, there isn't much she can do. While she struggles to keep the souls' power under her control, they simply refuse to feed into this power trip any longer, refuse to accept this as their fate, and it ultimately weakens her. Undyne is swiftly brought to her knees as this power slowly drains from her, and she starts to grasp what she's done, and starts to remember her true goal in all this.

Freedom.
So Undyne releases the SOULs into the barrier, destroying it completely, allowing for monsters to leave the Underground at long last.
