I think a lot about the challenges we face today in preserving new media formats for future generations; of what music will sound like fifty, one hundred, one thousand, even one hundred thousand years from now. What music and art will the descendants of the common Palmetto Bug be creating 100 million years from now?

Will the ever increasing demand for more affordable, portable, accessible, and just plain annoying modes of sensory consumption—the boombox, walkman, iPod, iPhone, wifi, bluetooth, home video, Blockbuster and Netflix—lead us by the ears, eyes, nose and throat to mortgage our lives for the latest in cranial ports; to sell our souls for a 24bit/96khz/4K dark fiber spike to the auditory, occipital, olfactory and retronasal meatspace we've borrowed from the universe? 

Will the greatest advances in neuroscience, brain surgery, and MORE be driven and funded by our lusts for the Kardashian, Kanye, Cyrus, TMG Top-Tens, Twitters, Tinders AND SKOUTs of the Future??? 

WHAT-Everrrrr. . .

Just so long as they cure Cancer, the Common Cold, and Mental Illness along the way, I'm down with it.
