Remix Tribute to Yuzo Koshiro and Streets of Rage Series 

In the world of video game music, few composers have left as indelible  mark as Yuzo Koshiro. His iconic soundtracks, particularly for the "Streets of Rage" series, have transcended their 16-bit origins to become timeless classics. 
Inspired by the genius of Koshiro, I embarked on a musical journey, breathing new life into his astonishing melodies through a remix track that pays homage to the legacy of "Streets of Rage."

The original "Streets of Rage" soundtrack was a groundbreaking fusion of electronic, dance, and techno elements, setting the stage for the game's gritty urban environment and high-intensity action. To remix such a revered composition is to undertake a delicate balancing act, preserving the essence of the original while infusing it with a fresh perspective.

In my remix, I sought to retain the raw energy and infectious groove that made Koshiro's music so unforgettable. I carefully extracted the core melodies that had players tapping their feet to the beat while navigating the perilous streets. These melodies became the foundation upon which I built my remix, serving as a sonic bridge between the original and my version.

With modern production techniques and a reverence for the source material, I breathed new life into the Tune (In The Bar) My favorite stage of the game.
Using some of the ellements on the game allowed me these powerful callbacks to the source material, creating a sense of familiarity and connection for fans of the game while also enhancing the overall listening experience.
Bringing pulsating basslines and crisp sounds syncopation and groove, punchy drums from the outset, I knew that I wanted to infuse this remix with the infectious groove and soulful flair of 80s funk. This era, renowned for its vibrant basslines, funky synth riffs, and a rhythm that gets your feet moving, was the perfect canvas on which to reimagine Koshiro's masterpiece.

This is a piece I made after being inspired by Bulb's "Horizon (WIP)". I had been singing it in my head for a few weeks and I incorporated a melody directly from the song without realizing it. It's in a different context but very recognizable when you listen to Horizon. Anyway, hope you enjoy the different approach.
