I've had to re-instate this track, distributing & publishing on Soundscloud threw up an issue with the ending (a very long fade out to 0) ... apparantly it was too long a fade to publish, and they couldn't resolve it when I edited the ending... On this track I’m using Arturia, Synth1, OPUS, Ableton Vintage Synths and Isotope Ozone. The objective is to seamlessly blend Synths and Orchestral instruments to create a dreamlike sequence....

Gaia Elements: Season of Mists

Mistral - The wind that blows down to the north Mediterranean coast, cooling air in the heat of the day.. It blows steadily for days sometimes, in conflict with Sirocco that blows up from across the deserts of Africa.Very dramatic at times.

Best with headphones … This track has been in my ‘ideas’ file for a long time, but I was hitting a dead end. I loved the first section but could not decide where to take it from there ! I had jazz, classical, cinematic… etc swimming around my head as potentials. In the end, I sat down and asked the track where it wanted to go:) & this is what happened! I hope you enjoy it.

2018 remixed & mastered - Worked on the drum track to bring the 'hats to life, rounded the bass & worked up the vocal harmonies & strings,  re-mixed, mastered... Hope you enjoy :)

This all started with River's stunning acapella version of this Prince track. The vocal track was recorded on an iPhone (wonderful irony !) My arrangement of the 1961 Henry Mancini / Johnny Mercer classic, Moon River, from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Creating a journey of exploration in orchestral hybrid arrangement. Adding the fantastic vocal of River who put her acapella version of this track up on her page some time ago. It's a wistful and charming vocal that fits like a glove with the track.
