Their monthly show showcases this musical vision by offering a selection hosted by Background, alternating between SSS residents, guests from their events, and artists highlighted on their website.

On Low_End Cast 04, one of Leipzig's best underground musicians and one of the generals of Defrostatica Records, Aeon Flux, takes the helm. 

Aeon Flux fell deeply in love with breakbeats in the early 90s. A love that started with UK hardcore and jungle, grew with drum and bass, never stopped exploring boundaries and currently finds its fulfillment in very bass-heavy music like footwork, juke and ghetto house.

She was a member of the infamous position:underground crew, ran a few music-related online forums along the way, hosted a few radio shows, threw a bunch of parties and has currently settled down as part of the team that runs Defrostatica Records. 

Enjoy this mix which features Jungle, Footwork, Juke and Ghetto House at its best (including some previously unreleased cuts).

He’s part of the Cologne @phonovisioncologne crew and known as a vinyl virtuoso. 
As I unfortunately had problems with my mixer recently, we recorded the whole thing as a freestyle set before. I'm very happy with it and look forward to give you some oldschool vibes.

Philomène Robinne aka Philo proves you don't need decades of experience to understand and push boundaries of a genre. Her originally vinyl-exclusive selection has evolved over time into a digital hybrid to achieve the best possible sound. A regular on UK lineups, Philo played a slot at londons  legendary Rupture and moved between festivals such as Fusion, Stone Techno Festival as well as Warning or HÖR in Berlin and Prstr. and Grelle Forelle in her new hometown Vienna.

Characteristics of her eclectic selection always involve UK influences, whether it's between breakbeat, 4-to-the-floor or excursions into the realms of house and  techno gems -  with a splash of nostalgic 90s sound, while always aimed to tell a story with her sets! 

Not long ago she started producing and released on Nice & Deadly, nonesuch, Stereo45, Defrostatica, Hardcore Energy, Basswerk and Miura Records- more to come soon!  In 2021, together with Marie Montexier, AINO and no:elia, she founded the event series Précey, which focuses on female and non-binary artists to push the scene in Cologne.  She also hosts her radio show on jungletrain.net monthly on Wednesday from 10:30pm (CET) focusing on less club-oriented sounds and always features a guest.
