In autumn 2017 I was invited to play the after show of the infamous "Südstraßen Festival" in the Wohnzimmer of Hotel Europa for 2 nights in a row, all night long. While being drunk and tired on Monday morning, I managed to record the last hour.
Dein-Hotel-Europa is the Club where I first started "byte-jockeying" while I was engaged as an actor at the Theater Aachen.

The inspiration to compose this yodel came to my mind because of the joy I had when I was able to yodel with my friends in Prater right after the Corona lockdown in May 2020. The title means "Liberation in Prater" - the Prateris the biggest Viennese park. Dedicated to my yodel friend Patricia Bustos from Oanano (www.oanano.at)... https://www.jodel.space/

Befreiung im Prater

This is the recording of a set i played in front of the Votiv church in Vienna's Sigmund Freud Park for my friends event series called "Parken" last year. It's been my pleasure to play the last set of the season-closing event after incredible artists like Paul Ebhart, Rojin Sharafi and Philip Jeck. "I went to the park because I wished to live deliberately"; I went to the park with a deliberate record selection of old and older alternative bass- and b-side bangers I rarely play in clubs these days. ... The first independent contact with music for me were two tapes with music by the Beatles. As a child i also was listening to Tom Waits, Nirvana, Bomb the Bass, Zarah Leander and Metallica as my mother was or still is into these bands. Because of the fact that I have a very young and interested mother I had the pleasure to attend many concerts at a very young age. Kraftwerk, for example, left me very curious. After a few teenage years full of riot and punk like "Ton, Steine, Scherben" etc, Portishead and Drum..n..Bass crossed my way. Electronic music with all its styles and variations is attracting me very much.I also enjoy funk, soul and hip hop . Since I have started my studies in jazzvocals I grew into the whole jazz thing and started loving it. The latest thing I really fell in love with was dubstep,when I saw Skream the first time in 2007. I feel that it would be a huge mistake to miss out on a whole genre, because there is passion and beauty in all kind of styles. To me, however, music is more than just something to listen to.
