Aiden showed off his skills on the ivories and played a rendition of "The Mike Meyers Theme" as well as all of the other cool Piano sounds in the piece minus those "dancing keys" that are happening, that was me.  I also laid in the drums, and added some drops and stuff...Did I mention he's barely 12 years old?

Another oldie but goodie I just dug up outta the vault while I tend to life stuff.  I sampled one of The true Sicilian's (my Father Vincenzo's) favorite italian songs by Riccardo Cocciante, "La Sua Tua Pella" for this one.  Unmixed, Completely Unclearable from a sampling standpoint, I'm sure, and I know I sound pretty terrible from a speech, delivery, articulation and intonation standpoint and I REALLY need to rerecord this one too, but hey, cut me some slack, this was from a different time and I was an entirely different person when I made this than the eternally loving and caring gigantic softy of a person that I am now...So that being said, from a production standpoint,  if you can see past some of the surface ruffness, there might just be a shiny gem 💎under there! For now, Enjoy this one whilst I take  some time to finally  polish it up a bit!

Dark Matterz / Galactically Vacant

Ok so this was supposed to be my “Throwback” for Thursday yesterday but I’m a lil under the weather right now 🤧. Anyway, this is just a ruff snippet of a pre-rehab track idea I came up with back in 2012 when I had the distinct privilege of working for and being able to sit for a mini-session of sorts in the home studio of Legendary Composer, Guitarist, and founding member of, “The Rhythmics & LIVE LAB creative”  Michael Levesque Sr. and his amazingly wonderful and brilliantly talented singer daughter, Kelly Levesque. Who also happens to be a dear childhood friend of mine, and who is also the sister of a one of my brothers from another Mothers and Guardian Angel 👼 (and also, one of my professional working and outside of school, if not my one and only 💜 U JR! lol ) Post Production Audio mentors, the Legendary Audio Engineer and Sound Designer and another all around magnanimous, truly awesome, living, breathing, low-key Superman in the flesh himself, Michael Levesque Jr. of Plush NYC, and we came up with this little melody here and recorded Kelly while we were there, and I took this puppy home and recorded myself and made this little “teaser track” out of it if you will, with the hopes of one day fully fleshing this concept out and presenting it to the world as a finished product. 

This song concept is one I came up with while sitting outside of my parents house after a huge argument wherein I felt like I did the right thing and was getting nowhere fast and nobody cared or recognized or even saw what I just had did (whatever it was specifically I cannot recall right now, however at the time I was in the throws of my active addiction before my early recovery, and I was outside the house, crying, smoking a cigarette, just trying to do the right thing and have SOMEBODY notice it, and I was praying talking to God in my head and it kinda felt like the only one who knew what was happening in that moment was just me, and the spirit of the universe, right? Anybody ever been there? Lol and I really felt like he (My Higher Power whom I choose to call God) heard and saw me and my pain in that moment, and it felt like he was sending me an applause of sorts👏🏻👏🏻, because the sound of the pouring rain falling on little canopy we have over our back steps, sounded exactly like the huge roar of a tremendous crowd to me. And in my head I was like, “You really are real, and you really are always watching and listening however you do it, aren’t you? You really DO see and hear me? And BOOM..the rain intensified and the applause sound got louder as if the crowd was cheering, just for me and NOBODY ELSE, and it soothed, and comforted, and reassured me in a way I had really never experienced before that and it really felt like the big man upstairs was there and he had my back and I somehow knew he always would….So I came up with this song idea. 

When the darkness in life surrounds you…listen up and keep holding’ on…. Cuz the raindrops failing on you…THATS applause from God! 👏🏻🙏🏼👏🏻🙏🏼👏🏻🙏🏼👏🏻

And the rest is pretty much history at this point. History that nobody really knows about. Until now I suppose.  I’ve always meant and still fully intend on redoing this one and giving it it’s “Full justice” if you will, when and if the stars 🌟 💫🌟align again and the magical moment reappears, and the time is right. Until then let’s just all enjoy what we have while we have it and hope for the best.

Yesterday’s “Almost Masterpiece” that I didn’t post because I received some bad news from a very close personal friend and as such, wasn’t, and still am not really feeling particularly “victorious” per say, ( victorious being how I feel this track sounds ) for not only that, but for a multitude of unrelated reasons, or feeling “regal” at all really right now, by any measure, outside of being a King and Viceroy of this planet of course ( 😉😉🙏🏼💜👑♾️ )but hopefully this one will help everybody ( myself included ) to get to feel victorious and truly regal👑 in their own lives too, even in the face of great adversity, or injustice, because well…that’s the whole friggen point isn’t it? Ok so this is really old one for me, this one was made post “my first inpatient rehab stay” and I wasn’t going to put this up here but I’m still really delayed in my “new recordings schedule” here right now 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ and I don’t have a pic ready for “Todays Almost Masterpiece” just yet so I figure I should finally put this one out somewhere at some point since I do spit some bars in this one, and there’s no better time than now so yea!! 🔥🌶️🎤💥I never put this out anywhere because the sample has gotta be completely unclear-able and well, much like another old track up here, the lyrics were only written and recorded for artistic expression and shock value alone. Ok so it’s not polished and I didn’t write any choruses and it’s just one verse as this was really just a proof of concept kinda thing with my newly just-about-fully-sealed-up makeshift closet recording booth, (I live by a highway and had lots of noise issues that processing was just not getting right for me…this recording is still noisy but much more manageable from a noise standpoint now…once I process this vocal and mix this thing it will sound great…(I probably won’t take the time to do it but I absolutely could  lol) I was also a bit under the weather when I recorded this, and then I had another surgery, so forgive the way I sound personally never mind the noise lol and for my delay in my posting this yada yada yada there it is!! MY IMPOSTER SYNDROME…you all just saw it!!. Anyway this has been sitting here ready to finish for a couple months now and I was just hoping to write a couple more verses and re-record myself and to polish it up delivery-and sound wise a bit (as I clearly ate and mushed a couple words there and the whole thing just sounds…well let’s just leave that part out for now) but I gotta stop obsessing over perfectionism already and I’ve had to for like a decade now…It’s been my own deluded perception that a  “perfect anything” even exists and that has created this imposter syndrome within me and I just couldn’t figure that much out  this whole time cuz well, I’m also legitimately insane in the membrane at times apparently so, here you go. It’s time. I’m here now, and nobody can stop me anymore…Not even myself! 🤪

again…I clearly sampled Maino on this one and didn’t remove or duck the underlying drums in that sample I know. I Told you. It’s a Ruff cut people. Ruff cut!! lol  

Imposter Syndrome is real. It affects so many of us in silence. This track is me speaking about my own imposter syndrome and my own self doubt that has held me back for most of my life. The person I’m talking to in this track is myself before anybody catches any feelings about it. There will be enough to catch feelings about to come. I promise you. 😈 Stay Tuned…

( I no longer require the use of a wheelchair or walker or brace / sling of any kind Thank God 🙏🏼💪🏼💜😊 but have lost some use of my left arm/hand as a result of my accident which has slowed me down a bit, but for a guy like me, that’s actually a good thing believe it or not! ) 

I also happen to make beats, write rhymes/rap…and yes, even sing when I feel like it (I was an alto singer as a youth in the Westchester County All-County Chorus as well as being an All-County band baritone saxophonist)…Yes, im quite musically inclined. I can also narrate really well with this silky smooth golden vocal tone of mine, (newer updated recordings of myself to come now that I’ve upgraded to next pro but I just did that and am still working out some kinks and upgrading some of gear here, so gimme some time people sheesh, I been through a lot here, (understatement lol) but I am also a certified audio expert as I'm also an Institute of Audio Research Graduate, who is a professionally trained and experienced Post Production recording audio engineer, sound designer/editor and foley artist.  I'm also a novice music producer only by education and passion though, (Yea, yea, yea my childhood dream was to do the whole "Sicilian American, Marky Marky Thing" but to make that jump in my spare time while I worked at the recording studio "Clark Kent Style" during "norma"l studio working hours...whatever that is lol) however when it comes to actual professional trade experience, I have that in Post Production Audio, not really in Music per say, (most of my musical talent is education, self-teaching, and a s**t-ton of hard work perseverance, grit and a lil bit of F**k Everybody mixed in there as well, I cannot lie...don't forget I died three times an came back people, don't forget )as I interned for six months, and worked on television and radio programming at a post production recording studio in New York City’s Flatiron District called Plush NYC for a little over 4 years before having to change my life due to substance abuse, and subsequent but now long since settled and sealed legal issues, and going freelance and working from home on independent films from my home studio, while trying to be a superstar over here, (Tremendous mistake I might add🤦🏻‍♂️if you have a good job, cherish it and never take it for granted like I did...Biggest mistake of my life thus far) However It’s ALWAYS been my dream to turn this music thing specifically into an actual living though. And jump into acting and what have you from there but things didn't go that  way, then but🤞🏼God willing🙏🏼 this is where the path to a suitable means to that end begins anew now, that I’m making the time to do this music thing on a daily basis and am taking it “super cereal” now, as South Park Al Gore would say while referring to the ever terrifying ManBearPig lol.
