Produced and arranged solely by record collector and beatsmith, Rhett Whatley, The Darkness Before Dawn was recorded in Atlanta over the cold, wet winter and spring of 2014/15. This project features some of Daily Bread’s most inspired material.

“I was really focused on bringing some of the sadder, depression-dripped tones out of my record collection with this LP” Whatley explains. The songs tell tales of love lost, never-ending rain storms, late night encounters, and restless minds. I really made something that has a lot of life in it.”

Re-Entry represents a homecoming to Earth after an expansive journey through space and is the companion to Daily Bread’s Navigator, Standby LP, released to much acclaim on May 2, 2019. Re-Entry is comprised of six all-new tracks that showcase Daily Bread’s continual evolution as an artist. Each song is inspired and accompanied by a personal tale of Rhett’s experiences creating music amid extensive touring through detailed album liner notes. Daily Bread - Meditate

Atlanta-based producer Daily Bread (Rhett Whatley) presents his latest project, Purple Clouds, via Philos Records on July 24th, 2020. Purple Clouds serves as an homage to and coincides with July 2016’s Cloud Conductor release.

Similar to Cloud Conductor, the Purple Clouds EP presents a series of songs produced thematically around weather, using imagery of storms, clouds, and other familiar weather patterns as metaphors for 
life.

The cover art for Purple Clouds is constructed from an image taken by Tone Connect on a Polaroid SX-70 camera - the vertical white lines present in the photo are a unique artifact caused by the bent film 
rollers on TC's specific camera. Artifakts processed and assembled the image into the artwork for Purple Clouds, with a nod back to the original Cloud Conductor artwork. Purple Clouds is comprised of five new tracks, including a collaborative track with Philos-mate Derlee, who also appeared on Cloud Conductor.
