First World Problems was made in the corner of Tyr's bedroom while we were both suffering from depression in high school. We were upset about a lot of things we witnessed in the world around us and decided to make music about our experience. We're PhilTyr (/fil‧ter/), an independent musical duo based in Minnesota. The current political climate has us emerging from hiatus with new music this fall! We've spent the last few years straight vibing after creating our debut album First World Problems (2020), so you can check that out! While you're here, The Summertime Blues EP (2016) was our first completed project back in high school. We have a few other demos and jams lying around too. This is just the beginning!
