This playlist features a selection of music created by the talented individuals from the Melodics community who took part in the Beatmaker Bootcamp. Specifically tailored for beginners, the Beatmaker Bootcamp provided these artists with a 14-day intensive course, culminating in the creation of their very first musical pieces.

Etude 14

This track was produced for the Melodics April 2024 Beatmaker Bootcamp.

My family is Sri Lankan. One of my favorite places in the world is Dambulla Temple in Sri Lanka. The temple is full of caves containing massive gold statues of the Buddha, with ancient skeletons of the original people who lived there before Buddhism's arrival to the country. I created a song that tried to capture the ethereal, frenetic energy lingering within a silent, echoing cave - the memories of the dances of ancient golden bones.

My biggest inspirations were both video games - Final Fantasy 6's World of Ruin theme for chords that reverberated through a haunting, empty space, and Sly Cooper on the Playstation 2 for the glockenspiel evoking a sense of motion in the night.

The album art is my modernized rendition of another nearby Sri Lankan landmark - the Lion Rock, Sigiriya, an ancient, crumbling palace atop a massive rock in the jungle that awakes millennia later and finds itself in a world that has left it behind.

My first track, this is for the Melodics beatmaker bootcamp, it's not great and Lo-Fi isn't my favorite genre but I figured Lo-fi would work best since I would be following along with TAETRO.

My first song created in Ableton Live during Melodics Beatmaker Bootcamp  April 2024. I mainly used Ableton Live 12 Standard and Arturia Analog Labs V.

My third track, not my proudest work honestly. I tried to lean towards Jazzhop, still got a lot to learn about this genre.

Started with piano, then drums, than upright bass, than shaker, than trumpet.

This is my track from the February 2025 Beatmaker Bootcamp at Melodics. Entirely made with Ableton Live using stock instruments and plugins. A new experience for me as I normally work more with samples. Inspiration for the synth bass and melody came from the G Funk of Dr Dre.
