The tenth record on Trouble Maker is a special one. Label boss Adam Curtain shares 4 tracks that he's made with friends - Bobby., Cromby, Ste Roberts & Thoma Bulwer over the past 18 months. The tracks are a culmination of what the label is all about - club orientated dance music to share with friends.

The A side is the tougher and straighter of the two, both Ste Roberts and Cromby's collabs are primed & ready for when those low lit clubs open back up this year, both supplying ecstasy inducing moments on tap.

The B side sees the more steppier and broken tracks from Bobby. & Thoma Bulwer. The B1 was made down at Devon Analogue Studios and captures the madness and creativity of this place well - whilst the B2 was made right here in Hackney and shows Adam and Thoma's garage/2step heritage to its fullest.

He started his career as a DJ back in 1992, and very soon he became a key figure in the spanish underground scene, playing in some of the most important clubs across the country. 

Influenced mainly by the early 90's sounds of Detroit and I.D.M. Pioneers like Autechre, amongst a wide variety of music, DJ F soon started developing his own productions under different monikers to cover all his musical aspirations
. 
Quietly and step by step, F took all what surrounded him musically, look into himself too see what he really had to offer, took all that, and used it to create some of the most beautiful pieces you can think of. Music full of soul and passion, like you never heard before.

Splits is a new series of releases from OO Recordings that focuses on connecting two artistic minds into one split release.

The first installment is a Nordic affair with Iceland's Jónbjörn on the A-side and Finland's Torolf Stendik on the B-side. Though stylistically operating in different shades of electronic music, both artists share a knack for relentless experimentation, ingenious use of their chosen array of sounds, and Nordic quirks that are hard to put a finger on. The release spans a spectrum of glitchy experimental with hints of IDM and minimalistic techno with industrial twists on the A-side,  whereas the B-Side combines slower, downtempo-ish tracks with deeper house cuts with acid tips.

Having been fans of both artists for years, we're more than thrilled to present to You the meeting between two mind-bending talents. The release is mastered by Noah Kin.

INFORMATION ON THE ARTISTS:

Jónbjörn
Jónbjörn is an Icelandic DJ/Producer based in Reykjavík. He has been previously seen on releases on such labels as D.KO Records, FALK, Neo Violence, Lagaffe Tales, and pompon records. Together with Viktor Birgis, Jónbjörn runs Lagaffe Tales and sub-label BROT.

Stylistically, Jónbjörn is known for a fine blend of 90’s IDM and industrial soundscapes, with a healthy dose of contemporary techno and electro in the blend. His productions are airy and even minimalistic, yet still driving and heavy. Time spent behind the decks, as well as years lived in Berlin, have shaped Jónbjörn into a producer that effortlessly balances weirded-out experimentation and dancefloor-friendliness. Breezy like a northern gust on the shores of Iceland.

Torolf Stendik
Speaking of windy coastal towns, Torolf Stendik hails from Vaasa, Finland. One of the many alter egos of Vesa-Matti Kivioja, Torolf Stendik has previously appeared on stellar releases on Meltdown Deejays and Studio Barnhus. 

Combining a dub-inspired and playful approach to sounds with an off-kilter way of structuring a dance track, Torolf Stendik provides a weirded-out form of Nordicness. Torolf Stendik’s music feels like a constantly shape-shifting amoeba that can take you from point A into outer space in a span of minutes. Each track on the release - as well as pretty much each track of Torolf Stendik in general - feels like another step on a trippy night out.

"The tracks compiled here are very much a product of their time and place. I’d never visited such a foreign and often unforgiving place emotionally and psychologically before and I wanted the listener to be able to visit that same place but from a safe distance. It’s probably the most autobiographical of the recent albums and I attribute that to how we confront crises of existence, pain, and, in the end, how we redeem our lives despite these exhausting factors."

@yre_den lands on @decisionsrecords with a hopeful, animated new EP titled ‘Inlight’. Previously Yre Den, who is based in Berlin, has released via labels such as Cologne’s SPA Recordings as well as Magazine.

Today we’re premiering the EP’s title track ‘Inlight’. Naturally, as title or lead tracks often do, it offers the purest taste of Yre Den’s musical intentions as it twists, twirls and quivers as if filled with a springtime-ish renewal of energy and sanguine exuberance. A kind of energy and sanguineness we could all probably do with at the moment, if we're honest.

 And speaking of present day events, Yre Den has decided to direct all profits from the release to the GoFundMe campaign attached below. The campaign  aims to support LGBTQI+ and BIPOC individuals and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

DECISIONS will release ‘Inlight’ on March 27.
