I have found such light and freedom in Jesus that I had to write a song about it! =) 
God's mystery and beauty constantly amazes me, and there is one thing I long to do in response to this... worship.
It only takes one glimpse from Him and I am in awe again - over and over - in love.

Morning Star

Quiet Waters...

"Tall Ships" reflects where I'm at with my faith at the moment.
I've been struggling, and still am, with quite a few things in my life and this is a cry from my heart to Jesus basically!
I feel like I keep falling, and part of this song is about that, getting lost and not being able to see a way out. 
There is a story in the Bible about a son who leaves home and tries to live life his own way, and fails. He eventually finds his way home and his Father is there waiting for him with open arms and welcomes him back!
The second chorus is an answer basically to the first one - Jesus is waiting to welcome me back.

As It Is In Heaven...

Again, this song came together in about an hour - not long at all!
I've been really itching to write another song for ages, and it just hasn't happened - until now! :) Which is a big relief on my part!

I recorded a couple of times, and this one, even with a couple mistakes, was chosen because it seemed to 'capture my heart' the best.

A Little Love... <3

It has been a looong time since I have written a song so I can tell you it is a BIG relief to finally have written one again! It has taken a lot of learning and pushing through "barriers" with this, and I have written several other beginnings of songs before eventually ending with this COMPLETED one!

It is a simple song, but is one that is from a very deep place within me.
About not allowing walls to close in around me and chains to hold me down, but for Jesus to free me from all of that. Also from pressure around me to know exactly where I am going. Because, in reality, I don't know. But this is OK. And I believe I am exactly where God wants me right now, unclear though it may be...

I was inspired recently to write and sing songs that are "real".
Songs that speak about real struggles that real people have to deal with.
I have had to be true to myself and write what's on my heart.
Feeling constantly lost and searching, confused and doubting, fearful and worrying..

THIS is real.

If we only ever sing or write about "the good times", then how will we help those who go through dark times? And if we admit it, we all go through dark times!

This is a song letting you know ~ if you are lost right now, you are not on your own. This is where I am at right now.
And this is Real.

It has been on my mind recently about God's dreams for me. How he dreamed of me in the first place, and breathed life into me. 
This song is me saying to Him... "let your dreams be my dreams; invade my whole being as I completely surrender to you..."
