So Near So Far

i reworked this song, I never really finished it when i posted it, i just kind of wanted to move on. This is a better song now.. I still can't get the vocals to sound right.. 
NOTE: I remixed this song, was able to get the pops and crackles out of the vocals

The evening fog had come, floating softly from the sea

Night Moves

Well i wrote this song for the Rolling Stones if they should ever get around to listening to it,  i have always been a big fan so i decided to mix a bit of Gospel, a bit of Blues and Hey presto a new song for Mick and Keith. In true Keith Richard tradition i took my Bass E string off and tuned the guitar to key of G. The main guitar is the Bridge pick up on the Les Paul giving a nice rounded sound and the lead is the bridge pick up more giving a more trebly and cutting through the mix a bit. No processing all clean as they sound. My vocals have a bit of Saturation and distortion and Compression to give me that bluesy sound, hope you'll like it and Mick & Keith if your out there let me know how i did..

J’ai quarante ans et des poussières
Une dent en moins mais restons fière
J’ai bien couru, j’ai beaucoup vu

Hier j’avais tout l’temps du monde
Jeune diplômée, la bouille bien ronde
Où sont passées mes joues pot’lées ?
Où ont filé ces gens croisés ?
J’ai perdu l’compte des pots d’départ
Maintenant tout l’monde, c’est si bizarre,
Du dentiste aux collègues sympas,
Sont tous beaucoup plus jeunes que moi !
J’ai classé mille et un dossiers,
J’ai connu le fax et l’papier
Usé trente six ordinateurs
Les directeurs, ça m’fait plus peur
Comme si j’avais pris de l’aplomb 
De toutes ces qualifications.
Ce recul me rend presque sage
Et mon CV dépasse deux pages…

Je me sens comme un lance-torpilles
Qui aime les bulles de savon…
Si je savais la bonne formule
Pour faire du sens, et puis des bulles
Je n’pourrais pas la dire ici
De crainte qu’ça n’arrête le pays.
Et la morale de cette histoire,
C’est que tout âge a ses déboires
Mais une loi est universelle :
Moins tu bosses, et moins t’as d’séquelles !
