Pholo returns to the SYNES label and stakes his claim as a pioneer of the Neo genre with Panic; a pure, unabashed celebration of the sound. This new release rides a square-reese foundation that keeps the energy high, whilst balancing Pholo’s distinctive wide drill hat rhythms and bit-crushed square leads. Pressure is built and then released with the touch of an artist fully familiar with the sound, expertly playing with tension and producing floating moments of release which wash over the listener like an incoming tide.
