Ruff Loaderz & Ian G – Amnesiac

Kirk Paten aka Secluded Family is a regular selector on London's music scene, a purveyor of soulful house music, taking influence from 80's funk, disco, to deep, and afro lead sounds, Kirk has always maintained true to his soulful roots, and evolved with the ever changing dance floor tastes of the UK and abroad of the Secluded Family music collective .

The creative director and founder of the Pure Groove group, running various clubs and bars in the city of London, a DJ that has played across the capitals clubs and now residing at Blue Marlin in Ibiza & LDN. His Secluded Family & KS Paten production aliases have seen music released previously on Phonetic, as well as Data (MOS) and Fierce Angel.

Up on remix duty, are the excellent Tough Love, known for their bass-infused house music, they have released chart-topping singles like ‘So Freakin’, ‘Tight’ and ‘Pony (Jump on It)’. Their dynamic live sets, Kiss FM Radio Show, infectious production, and consistent radio play have earned them a loyal following and recognition by Beatport as the ‘Top House Act’.

‘What Have You Done’ is a nod to the old school, a fantastic cover version, engineered by Kirk & Tough Love with the excellent Natalie Good on vocals. Natalie has performed at a string of major UK festivals, featured on ITV’s the Voice, Netflix and BBC Introducing.

Every now and then we like to do a head nod to times past but with a current feel. 

Hats off to Martin for creating this summer feel good #TUNE.
A musical mash up that is sure to set your Dancefloors alight. All re-played with the original writers all credited on the publishing front.

Road tested by our Head Honcho on his recent tour, the track had DJ’s and Clubbers trying to find out it’s name. The original mix contains a Hip House vocal, whilst the Instrumental is a big sounding, speaker thumping journey into House. Definitely one to watch for #Ibiza2023.

Martin’s productions have received support from the likes of Claptone, David Penn, Low Steppa, Nic Fanciulli, Miguel Migs, Grant Nelson, Seb Fontaine and many more. As a DJ he was the resident for the Hed Kandi and Gatecrasher Brands.

Phonetic have been behind many a underground hit record over the years, holding the accolade of 3 consecutive Ibiza No.1 Records/Track of the summer. With a plethora of big records every summer on the white island.

Next up is something very special indeed, Frank de Wulf is a pioneering producer, under his B-Sides guise, he was responsible for some of House Music & Techno’s most influential records.

The Tape is one of those, a true Iconic House & Techno Anthem, a track that has influenced so many DJ’s and stirs emotions across the worlds dancefloors. There’s a great story as to how this release came about.

The Pig Snatchers & M-Staffs sent the remix to Phonetic’s head honcho; Rob Roar to drop at the sell out Clockwork Orange event at KOKO LDN (aka Camden Palace).

The track has been tried, tested and tweaked by Rob, to a pretty immense reaction from DJ’s, Danceloors and clubbers alike. All set up nicely for the Summer Festivals and Balearic Dancefloors.

The label holds an industry record with 3 consecutive Ibiza No.1 records (Pete Tong’s Radio 1 Ibiza Weekend Buzz Chart & DJ’s Ibiza Mag Hype Chart), we’ve been lucky enough to top charts across the world with a string of No.1 records in Mixmag, DMC Buzz, Music Week Coolcuts & the Club Chart, USA House Chart as well as The Box & MTV Dance. We’ve played a big part in the careers of some of House Music’s best loved artists, mentoring the likes of Daley Padley (Hot Since 82 and also our label party DJ) & D.Ramirez. We’ve delivered many a House Anthem with Bodyrox & Luciana, Adamski ‘Killer’, Sterling Void, Joe Smooth, Max Linen, Michael Gray & Martijn ten Velden. Every season in Ibiza we’ve had releases doing the biz on the white islands dance-floors and radio shows. We’ve graced the UK Top 40 on 5 occasions; hold a industry record for most co-releases with Major Record labels (Island Records, EMI, Virgin, Positiva, MOS/DATA, AATW/Universal, Spinnin, Ultra, Sony BMG). The label roster reads as a dance music who’s who.

So here we are and what better way to kick of our 100th release celebrations with the seminal Martijn ten Velden ‘I Wish U Would’. The track blew up in Ibiza and became the record of the season, the following year it was still being hammered on the Island, something you rarely see.

With songwriting and performance by the fabulous Luciana who went on to top charts globally with Bodyrox. She now resides in Los Angeles and has a biography that is nothing short of show stopping. This was a song that everybody in Ibiza was singing, the result was a Major label bidding war twelve months after the initial Phonetic release, it became a Phonetic/All Around The World/Universal release.

Now brought upto date by Martijn himself and championed solely by Pacha Ibiza’s resident DJ Graham Sahara, to a massive response. Remixes courtesy of one of our favourite producers DeMarzo, Blinka, S.Jay & Ostertag and also includes the original mix.

The Manchester based duo are some of the UK’s fastest emerging talent. The pair formed a natural alliance after meeting on the Manchester DJ circuit forming as symbionic partnership due to their similar DJ styles and taste in music. Working tirelessly producing music together for the past year has culminated in a stunning 3 track EP.

Filled with clever quirks and stomping kicks, all three tracks demonstrate the high level of production quality from this young duo. Having seen ‘Madonna’ road tested to a sell-out crowd at 338 London, we’re confident the pair are set for a bright future.

Jimmy is a prominent rising talent who’s DJ skills has seen him grace the decks with many World famous names including Steve Lawler, wAFF, Russ Yallop, Dyed Soundorom to name a few. Working for one of the World’s most recognised names in Dance music, Sankeys, Jimmy hosts his own night in room 2 in the Manchester based club once a month, plus is also a resident for London’s premier event Abode. He’s also played at Magna Carta, Saved, Tribal Sessions and VIVa Warriors plus many more at some of the most illustrious clubbing venues across the UK including EGG, Sankeys, Studio 338 and Gorilla, Manchester. Last year saw Jimmy play at several festivals include WeAre FSTVL, Art of Sound and Groovebox.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Wade, wAFF, Richy Ahmed and Rhadow, Jimmy is fast becoming a name to remember.

Mike Jones began his career in dance music at a very early age after hearing House music for the first time. He quickly began a love affair with the music that inspired his confidence creating a thirst for more. Working tirelessly, he set out to find a platform to showcase his skills both in the studio and behind the decks within the North West underground scene.

In 2014, Mike DJ’d at some of the UK’s biggest club including Avici White and illustrious Sankeys in Manchester supporting the likes of Roger Sanchez, Him_Self_Her, Clive Henry, Russ Yallop and many more.

Mike’s productions have recently attracted the attention of Amine Edge & DANCE completing a remix for the famous French duo’s label CUFF.

Jimmy Switch & Mike Jones have releases on Disco Electronica, Melted, Now&Thn & NERD Records to name a few with acts like Kreature, Amine Edge & DANCE and Freeman & Farrelly supporting and playing their records.

The pairs’ productions have caught the attention of several leading figures within Dance music and will see them both DJ in Ibiza this summer for the first time.
