This September and October, England will host Rugby World Cup 2015. Three of the tournament’s matches will be played at the Sandy Park ground in Exeter.

With support from Exeter City Council, Phonic FM had commissioned four 'radio portraits' of Exeter and its communities, each in some way exploring the reach and influence of the Rugby World Cup 2015 matches in the city.

These audio portraits will be broadcast on Phonic FM around the time of the matches at Sandy Park.

Phonic FM’s Rugby Stories – how to get involved

Phonic FM is delighted to support Exeter’s new Lost Weekend festival, taking place from 6–8 October 2017.

Over the weekend, Phonic FM will host two workshops for college-aged radio and sound arts enthusiasts. Working to a brief set by Phonic FM producers, students will be encouraged to attend the festival throughout Exeter with the purpose of gathering content. The resulting contributions will be aired during a live broadcast planned for the final day of the festival.

The workshops will be run by experienced radio professionals and will enable the students to produce professional quality broadcast material, as well as unlocking skills, experience and confidence they can take to further their careers.
