Eagles & Butterflies has led a a charmed life since the outset really, with his productions picked up by John Digweed's Bedrock and more recently, a residency at Space Ibiza's Friday night shindig, Clandestin, to his name. I’ve been in love with sound for the past 7 years, but for some reason - I’ve always been afraid to finish songs, perform a DJ set in front of people, or basically just - put my name to a piece of audio.

My greatest passion has always been my deepest insecurity. Until now.

A few months ago, I happened to visit a tarot card reader and he recognised this fear of mine. He said that in October, I would get an opportunity to play in front of some friends. He said that them viewing me as a DJ/Producer or a musician - would give me the little spark I need to get over this fear & unlock the greatness that lies beyond. 

And sure enough, on the 1st week of October - one of my best mates - Sam Henry, better known as Shenry, happened to throw a party in a beautiful farmhouse nestled amongst the mountains behind Byron Bay, Australia. On the Sunday, when everyone was just relaxing, soaking up the sun, and gathering wood for the fire - I got the chance to step up & curate the sunset. 

It was actually the first time I’ve got to play with my gear that I know so well & love so much, my beloved Traktor S4, and in front of people. Suddenly, I felt fearless. 

This is that set.

Berlin-based award-winning producer, label owner, and one of Europe’s most sought-after house DJs – has left an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene.

With over 100 releases and remixes on acclaimed labels such as MoBlack, Dessous, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Stil vor Talent, Systematic, Bunny Tiger, Katermukke, Bar 25 Music, and Ritter Butzke, his prolific output cements his status as a house music innovator.

Phonique's career catapulted to fame in 2004 with the iconic club anthems “The Red Dress” and “For the Time Being.” However, it was his timeless hit “Feel What You Want” from his 2010 album – amassing over 50 million views on YouTube – that solidified his global reputation. His four critically acclaimed albums showcase his evolving sound, diverse influences, and profound intuition for igniting dance floors worldwide.

As Identification, his debut album, approached its 20th anniversary, Phonique is planning a special release featuring acoustic reinterpretations and fresh remixes of classics like “For the Time Being feat. An unexpected highlight in 2024 was the resurgence of “Feel What You Want” in its slowed version, trending on Shazam charts in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, and peaking at #15 on the global Shazam charts. This momentum inspired an upcoming “All Mixes” release on Zatar Music, featuring remixes from Korolova, Vintage Culture, Bruno Be, Tom Novy, Aka Aka, and a highly anticipated new version by Ukrainian duo Artbat.
