"As a kid of the 80s, I have a couple of decades of experience in electronic music. No matter if playing live or compiling a mix, for me it’s all about creating an experience. Some call it storytelling, a journey. I think this is just what DJ’ing should be about.

I don’t care about release dates or genres – often spending hours, days, or even weeks for the track selection, it just must fit together. Making a mix is more like producing one, over-length track for me, always striving to create something “complete”. The result is not easy to pigeonhole since I like to move across genres. I like to build up the vibe and then releasing towards the end of a set. If you feel it, my mission is accomplished!

Electronic music is my passion and welcome contrast to the daily office routine. Aiming to spread the music I love also led to the @schirmchendrink collective, the one with the tasty cocktails and an incredibly hard-to-pronounce name. I am further half of @gimerique, the deep electronica duo together with Belgium's Bigasti, where we follow a more dreamy pathway.

Side A: is a slice of funky, dubbed/spaced out midtempo Disco, custom made for the sophisticated dancefloor
Side B: is a slow-jam, and a dubbed, balearic romantic take on an AOR classic hit

LUXXURY makes dance music for adults. Raw, funky bass-lines plucked with grown-man finesse. A mastery of keyboard and synth native only to those who lived through the late '70s/early '80s. Dust in the glitter that vibrates in the space between string stabs, bongo slaps, and guitar jabs—even while the steady pulse and astral effects feel beamed in from a more cybernetic future Los Angeles. That's where the nu-disco wizard born Blake Robin dwells, of course. That is, when he isn't on the road opening for Giorgio Moroder or the Juan MacLean; leading his dapper band on late-night TV; remixing live at DJ sets in Mexico City, New York and Berlin; making viral TikTok “Inside the Song” videos, or seeding his Dublab radio show/Spotify playlist Good Morning, Disco! with gems that span four decades of groove-first music. In fact, you might've first felt his deft touch via the controversial LUXXURY Edits—where he uses the multi-tracks (stems) of classic hits to create dubby slow-disco versions—but his original music is no less arresting.

Berlin-based award-winning producer, label owner, and one of Europe’s most sought-after house DJs – has left an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene.

With over 100 releases and remixes on acclaimed labels such as MoBlack, Dessous, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Stil vor Talent, Systematic, Bunny Tiger, Katermukke, Bar 25 Music, and Ritter Butzke, his prolific output cements his status as a house music innovator.

Phonique's career catapulted to fame in 2004 with the iconic club anthems “The Red Dress” and “For the Time Being.” However, it was his timeless hit “Feel What You Want” from his 2010 album – amassing over 50 million views on YouTube – that solidified his global reputation. His four critically acclaimed albums showcase his evolving sound, diverse influences, and profound intuition for igniting dance floors worldwide.

In July 2022, Phonique launched his label Zatar Music, debuting with a Korolova remix of “Feel What You Want.” The label highlights his melodic and Afro-Arabic house inspirations, drawing from his travels to countries like Jordan, Ukraine, and Armenia. With releases from artists such as Fairplay, Roo, Nilu, and Gui Boratto, Zatar Music embodies Phonique’s adventurous sonic vision. As Identification, his debut album, approached its 20th anniversary, Phonique is planning a special release featuring acoustic reinterpretations and fresh remixes of classics like “For the Time Being feat. Erlend Oye” and “Café Monte Carlo feat. Dixon.” This milestone reaffirms his ability to revisit and reinvent his own legacy.

An unexpected highlight in 2024 was the resurgence of “Feel What You Want” in its slowed version, trending on Shazam charts in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, and peaking at #15 on the global Shazam charts. This momentum inspired an upcoming “All Mixes” release on Zatar Music, featuring remixes from Korolova, Vintage Culture, Bruno Be, Tom Novy, Aka Aka, and a highly anticipated new version by Ukrainian duo Artbat.
