House Music With Love kicks off 2024 with their annually recurring “Brighter Days” compilation. The Winter Sampler celebrates one month passing since Winter Solstice, the darkest night of the year, meaning we are now heading for brighter days with spring and summer not too far away.

The compilation gathers five stunning house tracks to get you warmed up and ready for the musical year of 2024

Birch (UK) returned to HMWL with the chill melodic surf house track Venice.

Montana is Jasch Patrik’s debut on House Music With Love. “Montana”, an Organic House track, narrates Patrick’s arduous ascent in the Alps, an emotional journey he shared with his daughter.

Next up are two Swedes, Adrian Andrea and Slow Ted, with two minimalistic funky house cuts, Funky Bottle and A Place Like Home.

Finally, Kharkiv’s organic house veteran Somelee wraps up the compilation with the melodic Latin-inspired Mariposa.

Munich-based label Plattenbank Music presents its new release, a collaborative project between Maze 28 and Aman Anand. 

Maze 28 is the moniker of Albanian producer and DJ Mario Zefi, and Aman Anand hails from Bangalore, India, where he has steadily built a reputation as a forward thinking artist in the underground circuit. Both have carved distinct spaces within the melodic and progressive electronic music scene. 

The opener, Dreamspace, unfolds with patient momentum. Layers accumulate gradually, interwoven with subtle ethnic inflections that stretch beyond conventional genre boundaries. Percussive details, shakers, and open hi-hats lend a tactile quality, while the saxophone, introduced with restrained melancholy, becomes the track’s defining voice. 

The second track, Night Lights, takes a different route, creating a hypnotic 
environment where shifting layers evoke a sense of transcendence. The piece is a meditative projection balancing new sonic ideas with a touch of nostalgia. 

Maze 28 and Aman Anand show respect for tradition while exploring new ideas. Their debut on Plattenbank is a release that deserves attention and repeat listens.

Lehars aestethic categories of the sublimity and beauty of nature find their roots in Romanticism. As you may notice while listening to Lehars music compositions, intuition and emotion are the basis of his creative process, finally resulting in a near impromptu. Lehars debut EP Sargas on Offenbach imprint Connaisseur Recordings has put him on the map of modern electronic music and represents his artistic manifesto: a mixture of sounds and atmospheres of dramatic effects characterized by intimate basslines and intriguing melodies. Lehars EP Magic Realism on Diynamic Music, the indie single Number One Hero featuring Rush Midnight on 2DIY4, his contribution to the 10 Years of Diynamic album celebration, his mini album Picture released in October 2017 on Diynamic Music, as well as the Penta EP he released on his own imprint in 2018, have consolidated his reputation as a producer. Thanks to the active work on the remix side and few collaborations with Musumeci, Lehars music also appears on Compost Black Label, Endless, My Favorite Robot, Mood Music and Lost & Found. In 2018 he, together with Musumeci and Olderic, created the label Multinotes. In the same year he and Musumeci presented a new concept for a one night event called MUSE, in 2019 they will have their own summer residency at Heart Club in Ibiza.

Berlin-based award-winning producer, label owner, and one of Europe’s most sought-after house DJs – has left an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene.

With over 100 releases and remixes on acclaimed labels such as MoBlack, Dessous, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Stil vor Talent, Systematic, Bunny Tiger, Katermukke, Bar 25 Music, and Ritter Butzke, his prolific output cements his status as a house music innovator.

Phonique's career catapulted to fame in 2004 with the iconic club anthems “The Red Dress” and “For the Time Being.” However, it was his timeless hit “Feel What You Want” from his 2010 album – amassing over 50 million views on YouTube – that solidified his global reputation. His four critically acclaimed albums showcase his evolving sound, diverse influences, and profound intuition for igniting dance floors worldwide.

In July 2022, Phonique launched his label Zatar Music, debuting with a Korolova remix of “Feel What You Want.” The label highlights his melodic and Afro-Arabic house inspirations, drawing from his travels to countries like Jordan, Ukraine, and Armenia. With releases from artists such as Fairplay, Roo, Nilu, and Gui Boratto, Zatar Music embodies Phonique’s adventurous sonic vision. Remixes by Hyenah, Korolova, Gorje Hewek, and others have earned Zatar tracks spots in Black Coffee’s Spotify playlist and Adriatique’s iconic Cercle set.

2022 also marked Phonique’s residency at Berlin’s renowned club Ritter Butzke, following his debut release on their label. Playing alongside international stars like Korolova and Franky Wah, Phonique continues to inspire with his electrifying performances.

As Identification, his debut album, approached its 20th anniversary, Phonique is planning a special release featuring acoustic reinterpretations and fresh remixes of classics like “For the Time Being feat. Erlend Oye” and “Café Monte Carlo feat. Dixon.” This milestone reaffirms his ability to revisit and reinvent his own legacy.

An unexpected highlight in 2024 was the resurgence of “Feel What You Want” in its slowed version, trending on Shazam charts in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, and peaking at #15 on the global Shazam charts. This momentum inspired an upcoming “All Mixes” release on Zatar Music, featuring remixes from Korolova, Vintage Culture, Bruno Be, Tom Novy, Aka Aka, and a highly anticipated new version by Ukrainian duo Artbat.

From his trailblazing productions to his residencies and label endeavors, Phonique remains a driving force in house music, pushing boundaries while staying true to the genre’s essence.
