UK Garage has always held a strong affiliation with Dancehall from it's inception.
Producers in the UK, many of whom had Caribbean backgrounds, began incorporating Dancehall-inspired vocal samples, rhythms, and melodies into their UK Garage tracks. This cross-pollination resulted in tracks that maintained the rhythmic sensibilities of Dancehall while embracing the electronic production elements of UK dance scene. 

This cross section allowed fans from different backgrounds to find common ground on the dancefloor paving the way for further experimentation and innovation within the broader electronic music landscape.


On this mix we celebrate the new wave of UK Garage producers continuing the use of Dancehall vocals within UK Garage tracks..
