"S’il est bien une qualité que l’on doit reconnaître à notre homeboy Another Pixel, c’est qu’il ne fait aucun set identique. DJ Techno au départ, AP ne se cloisonne pas et étend sa recherche musicale vers un maximum de sous-genres oubliés et obscurs. Il n’en oublie pas pour autant les courants qui ont façonné le son techno, Soul, Funk, Disco parmi tant d’autres. Une soirée dans un club intimiste de la rue de Rivoli était l’occasion rêvée de proposer à Another Pixel de sortir ses 45 Tours qui commençaient à prendre la poussière. Il décrit ce mix comme suit : « Pas de Techno ou d’Electro dans ce mix assez spécial enregistré au Macvmba Club (Paris) le 2 juin 2017. L’atmosphère rétro du lieu m’avait donné envie de jouer comme si nous étions (peut-être !) aux premières heures du clubbing… Les titres ne sont pas limités à de « vieux » disques mais le mélange des styles/cultures reflète mon fantasme de cet âge d’or. Comme une envie de partager de la musique sexy, ensoleillée, sensuelle et souriante en fait ! Au programme : Soul, Hip Hop, Funk, Disco, Cumbia, Afro Groove, Deep House, Latin Rock, Breakbeat, Jazz Drums, Garage, Tropicalia, Bass Music, Synthpop… avec 51 disques 7″, 3 12″ histoire de… et quelques effets. A cause de problèmes d’enregistrement, il manque malheureusement environ 30 minutes du mix joué dans le club. La qualité du son n’est pas au top mais l’ambiance était tellement cool… obligé de la repartager avec vous tous ! Music Is Love – voilà un peu d’amour pour vous mes amis ! »

On a rarement entendu quelqu’un jouer un morceau Soul totalement oublié de tous avant d’enchaîner sur un maxi techno issu du catalogue de L.A Club Resource… Voici le genre de surprises auxquelles il faut s’attendre sur cet enregistrement brut et groovy !"
