Q/A:&#13;
1. We love your deep and atmospherical sound. Why do you choose to create techno in this way? What is the message?&#13;
This sound for me is not something I chose, I always had an element of this sound when working in the studio. &#13;
Just something about the rolling hypnotic ambient infused sounds that I love. &#13;
I feel this music is all about the atmosphere and every track takes you on a journey and tells it's own story.&#13;

2. What kind of DJ gig do you like the most? (and yea... how was berghain?)&#13;
Usually I prefer smaller intimate venues where you have a close connection with the crowd, always helps if its a dark and dirty space.&#13;
Berghain was amazing, playing was everything I hoped and more, its true what they say there is a really special feeling in that place.&#13;

3. Whats coming up for 2014? Both for you and informa records&#13;

Lopar began his career as a professional DJ in 2015 at Academia Decibel
(Intelligent Division) in Medellin, Colombia. His sound ranges from the
deepest to the most hypnotic and mental. Navigating genres such as ambient,
deep, dub, minimal, house, downtempo and drum and bass, Lopar always seeks
to transport the listener to different moods and convey emotions through
his music.

He is characterized by having a great technique and selection with which he
can adapt to different spaces and times, this has given him the pleasure
and great honor of performing alongside renowned international artists such

A Singaporean by birth and residence, Xhin is best described as a sound futurist. His rhythmic structure and compositional techniques which incorporate elements of techno, tight sub bass, ambient and IDM delivers a hint of chaotic soundscape amidst artistry. Xhin has been crafting ominous cuts of cutting-edge electronic music since 1997. In 2003, He independently released "Xycle", a self-promotional ep that made the industry to stand up to take notice. He then followed with his debut album, "Supersonicstate" the following year. In 2006, his talent was discovered by a German independent record label Meerestief. Also Xhin has become an important face for Lucy's famous Stroboscopic Artefacts with the artist like Perc, Milton Breadly, Inigo Kennedy, Rrose. On this label, he released his most experimental stuff to date, such as Sword, Fixing The Error, Monad III. Xhin is also a member of Token Records' family where he released 2 EP, The Realm and Dark Tiled Landscape.

This mix for Bassiani Podcast does a wonderful job of peeling back the curtains on Xhin's influences. Moving from a shadowy, mood-setting introduction, the first part of this mind blowing set offers an authentic techno records. Then he covers a big range of styles here, from ambient techno to experimental music and futuristic sound, and he continues to explore some disco jams in the middle of this set, that makes this mix absolutely unique. Among the gems are "Master Jack" from Robert Hood, Rennie Foster's "Good Time Charlie" and Hamilton Bohannon's classic from 1978, "Lets Start A Dance".
