Phonozar is a music producer, DJ and audio engineer based in Queens, NY. Phonozar debuted with the Modus Pink EP in June 2023 on Umbau Records. Phonozar started out in Brooklyn’s DIY Post-punk scene of the 2010s as a performer and volunteer at spaces such as Silent Barn, Shea Stadium and Death by Audio.

Phonozar hosts the radio show Umbau at 8 Ball Radio. Umbau is a one hour techno series that streams on 8 Ball Radio every other Friday 6pm - 7pm. The series is hosted by Phonozar with occasional guest appearances by local djs/producers. Musically the series covers the dark, psychedelic and driving side of the genre.
