@conforce AKA Versalife returns to @naturalselectionlondon with four breath-taking electro cuts.

Following on from his appearance on one of the label's launch compilations, Versalife (AKA Conforce) releases his first full EP for Natural Selection. ‘Genetic Cluster EP’ is out in September and takes up the torch from Kamikaze Space Programme and Rommek, whose prior releases via the London-based imprint saw support from the likes of James Ruskin, Tommy Four Seven, Takaaki Itoh, The Advent, Alienata and more. 

'Genetic Cluster' is an impeccably crafted electro release that maintains bite and aggression, whilst its textures and atmospheres spiral into the ether, taking the listener on an unpredictable emotional journey.

Drew McDowall (Coil) 
Drew McDowall is a Scottish born, NYC based composer and musician. He was a member of Coil in the ‘90s contributing heavily to some of their most respected and influential works.
An artist who has refused to conform in music and in life, McDowall mines the hallucinatory spaces that exist between reality and transcendental otherness. His work has been described as “sacraments to alterity”, with meditative compositions that are haunting and spiritual, melding intricate modular soundscapes with acoustic instruments and cut-up field recordings, deconstructing and reconfiguring sounds into otherworldly structures and shapes. The disorienting ambient mirages that result elicit terror, tender melancholy, and always heavenly flickers of expansive beauty. 
He has been releasing solo albums on Dais Records since 2015, and his fifth studio album, A Thread, Silvered and Trembling, will be released in May 2024. McDowall is known for his diverse collaborations, working with Kali Malone, Catarina Barbieri, Robert Aki Aubrey Lowe, Hiro Kone, Varg, Puce Mary, Shapednoise and others and has performed at many international festivals including CTM, Berlin Atonal, Dark Mofo, Unsound, Le Guess Who, Semibreve, WOS and Ambient Church.

Pleased to welcome TWINS to our next episode of our podcast series!

TWINS (the acronym from which the album derives its title, if one’s curious about the order of origin) is the mutant machine-pop project of Atlantan producer, label operator, and all-around aesthete-visionary Matt Weiner. Having spent the better part of a decade reveling in a moody murk that intersects seductive synth-pop with Featureless Ghost and grotesque industrial-dance grooves in his own right as TWINS, Weiner has more than proved his sincerely sinister and auspiciously artful finesse of synth-based music. 

Operating from his home studio, arrayed with various tools of the trade, Weiner tempers his subtle scourges of sound with an unending sense of bold exploration, processing tracks of pulse-heavy aural catharsis. When performing these songs live, he brings an array of hardware to back up his flooring vocal performances, using his entire being to work the audience into a frenzied trance. 

When not making music as TWINS, Weiner also runs the CGI Records label and co-runs the DKA label, between the two releasing music from Boy Harsher, Profligate, Alex Falk, High-Functioning Flesh, VALIS, Scott Fraser, Beau Wanzer, Featureless Ghost, Golden Donna, and more. Weiner also performs in the duo Pyramid Club with Chris Daresta, and produces music in the studio with Stefan Ringer as SM42 and with the esteemed CH Rom as Wo.
