"Raw Culture turns 5 and for its fifth anniversary it is its handyman Asymmetrical to blow out the candles.
After his first EP “For Muthafucka Use Only” released in 2017, Asymmetrical returns to his little baby with an album, Blind Faith. Two densely engraved sides for a total of 8 tracks ranging from Ebm to techno, from electro to New Wave, all connected by raw rhythms, noise and distant voices.”

Full streaming of track "Illusion Of Control”. Raw sounds, "dirty" cuts and rhythmic percussions. As a pulsating broken beat smacks, a pattern of distorted synth sound rises and falls over the shadowed bass underneath, while distant deformed vocals are moving forward.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Supreme Low. "The World" ft. Barkosina comes off the forthcoming album by Supreme Low Meets Sensation titled 'Still III'. The record is a collaboration between Supreme Low (Jerome Tcherneyan of Years of Denial) and New York-based MC, Sensational, who has been pushing hip hop’s boundaries for over 30 years. Tcherneyan first saw Sensational in France in 1999 while meeting in New York in 2001. The two quickly connected and kept in touch throughout the years when they finally got the chance to record material together in London in 2016.

With beats created mainly using an SP1200 (a sampler associated with hip hop golden's age and raw Techno), Fuzz/Distortion pedals and dub units like Echoes/Spring Reverb, psychedelic modulations such as Chorus/Flanger/Phaser and a modular synth, Sensational’s rhymes were totally improvised on the spot in a 3 a.m. studio session under heavy influence. The result is a powerful fusion of sound and style that shatters all expectations and delivers an audio vehicle bridging past, present and future. We are thrilled to host this track today by Supreme Low featuring the other half of Years of Denial, Barkosina on vocals.

In the words of the artist “It’s more about the self I suppose, Myself specifically, the artist.
Everything has a history, from these conventions emerge. These histories are foundation and prison.
I want to make something like industrial music, drum machines and bass lines, something somewhat, “conventional” I suppose. It doesn’t exactly fit though. I want to make something like rhythmic noise, but that doesn’t quite fit either. I want to challenge our history, to break free from it.
I want to do my own thing, because.”

This is the eighth Pi Electronics vinyl output, coming from the French producer under the project name Elements of Joy. Also known from his techno alias; UVB, this is his industrial/noise influenced project, which only had some limited releases up to date. PI08 is a 5-tracker offering a diverse selection of audio recordings, blending distorted synth pads, hard hitting percussion and processed vocals. Keeping the beats rather slow, PI08 carries a taste of ‘80s, Wave music.
