If you're anything like us then you're probably going nuts over the sheer amount of incredible music that is coming out of São Paulo's baile funk scene. As Rio lost its monopoly over the genre, a host of new producers started popping up everywhere in Brazil bringing all sorts of new influences into this genre that is going through a whole new golden age.

This is where VINÍ comes in, a São Paulo-based producer who's quickly becoming one of the stand-out names in the scene propelled by a strong debut EP on Daniel Haaksman's Man Recordings - as well as a spot on Branko's recent Boiler Room album release party - where the 22-year-old fuses baile funk's recognisable rhythm with all sorts of influences from grime to electro, creating a very personal sound in the process.

Preferido sees VINÍ solidify his style with a straightforward baile funk anthem, complete with looping vocal chops, hard-hitting beats, bleepy synths, motorcicle samples and the mandatory vocal hook that will get stuck in your brain for weeks. Basically everything you need to go wild on a dancefloor, which is precisely what this track is meant to do.
