The story of Photobomb officially began in 2012, but the history of its members stretches back several years and thousands of miles. It all started when singer/guitarist Jimmy Aulenti moved from Amherst, Massachusetts all the way down to Tampa and looked to start a band to play his original songs. He had acoustic solo shows for years before, but had never found a steady group of musicians he could play with. That all changed when he got together with vocalist/bassist Jerome Padilla, who was already a veteran of the Tampa scene. The two started writing songs almost instantly, and within two months, they had their first show at a local coffee shop. In late 2013, after recording their first couple demos with Bronx native Jeremy Rosado on drums, they found a veteran drummer in Joey Martin, whose heavy-hitting and original style brings a new focus in the band.

What makes Photobomb unique as a band is our genre-blending and egalitarian dynamic. We combine all of our influences - everything from the Sex Pistols to Iron Maiden - to create a sound that is rooted in punk but draws inspiration from the entire rock pantheon. We also have a collaborative approach to our music - everyone has a say in the songwriting process, and Jimmy and Jerome share dual lead and harmony vocals, often switching lead parts in the middle of our songs. Although Photobomb is a young band, our story already spans across genres, years, and countries to make our music a truly unique experience.
