Hailing from Saint Petersberg (Russia), the extremely talented Jiminy Hop made his initial appearance on our imprint in early 2021 with his single - "Tension" and soon afterwards followed it up with a milestone 3-tracker EP featuring "Summered", "Contemplation" and "Desire", an ode to the the melody-rich side of progressive house with it's bright tones and ethereal emotions. After garnering wide-spread support, we're thrilled to present our 54th release that features new remixes of the EP by label returnees - Eric Lune, Dimuth K and Anton MAKe.

Returning to the imprint after his debut EP and contribution to our 'Tales of Time' series in 2019 is Melbourne (Australia) based artist - Eric Lune. Ever since, he's been consistently putting out incredible music, most notably on Madloch's 'Sound Avenue' + '3rd Avenue', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' and the US Goliath 'Proton Music'. Revisiting Jiminy Hop's title track - "Summered", Eric Lune channeled his inner sun-kissed memories and elevated the track into a whole new dimension by bringing in as many euphoric feelings, highlighted by a 90's inspired lead and guitar riff.

A familiar name to the industry, the Sri Lankan born - Dimuth K made huge waves during the past couple of years with his awe-inspiring musicality, highlighted by releases on Nick Warren's 'Hope Recordings', Hernan Cattaneo's 'Sudbeat', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' and Eran Aviner's 'EDGE'. His initiation to our imprint came in late 2018 with a stellar remix of Ziger's "Razor" and soon followed up with 'Manu' a lovely downtempo track with 'Joel Fernandes' on our 'Tales of Time' series. Now based in Toronto (Canada), Dimuth makes his return to Juicebox Music with a dreamy remix of Jiminy Hop's "Contemplation", aided by a moody bassline, rolling mid-line riff and a hypnotic deep drive that guides oneself into a state of reverie.

Closing the pack is Kazan (Russia) based Anton MAKe, who's regularly found home in Cid Inc and Orsen's 'Replug Records', Mango's 'Mango Alley' and US imprint 'Proton Music', to name a few, with his consistently high quality output. Anton made his introduction to our label with a remix of Michael A's "Endless Time" in late 2018. He returned in 2019 with another remix for Berni Turletti and Matias Chilano's "Alumine" and more recently released his 2-track musical ballad EP - "Alya" and "Midsommar" in late 2020. Fast forward to now, Anton MAKe steps up to remix Jiminy Hop's "Desire", holding the proverbial torch that's been passed on by his fellow countryman. Taking a slightly darker route with a tougher and quirkier groove, Anton switches up the mood while he moulds the memorable melody into his own.

The original of ’Easy’ showcases the sonic artistry of 8Kays as Iryna sets in infectious groove with heavy bass, lush chords, jagged staccato lines and perfectly judged breakdowns to add tension. Diana Miro lays down a mesmerising vocal, her voice full of soul with pure emotion coming through in every word. ‘Easy’ is certain to feature in many important playlists and charts.

Long time collaborators Luigi Gori and Larsun Hesh are back with a new single, this time featuring the Australian vocalist Haptic. Chrysalis weaves brooding, mysterious atmospheres over a writhing and insistent groove. The darkness in this track is intimate and unrelenting, with minimal grooves pulsing underneath the emotive vocals.

Photonic also welcomes two new artists to the label, as Deckert and George Absent provide their own powerful techno influenced interpretations on this shadowed journey. 

With this the eighth release of Photonic, and an ever expanding stable of talented artists, Photonic is the new label to watch.

Label all-stars Mononoid return to ICONYC with an absolute classy piece of music entitled 'Running out of Time' featuring Amy Douglas White on vocals. The Dutch duo who has been a prominent mainstay in the electronic underground kick' things off nicely with their original mix of 'Running out of Time'. The full-on festival vibes shine through, as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords and Amy's wonderful vocal sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. Mononoid's trademark beat manipulation is prevalent, as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot. Perfect for beat loving club crowd or to close a big night out in style. 

Kate Ozz, who has been coming through the ranks at lightspeed, certainly needs no introduction with recent releases on Disco Halal, Selador and Nightcolours. She created a rework full of good energy from the word go, as the atmospheric indie dance vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as her restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we welcome back label stalwart Frank Sonic this time around in collaboration with Larsun Hesh to the label, the German / Ukrainian duo known for their polished sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh – Their transcendent touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove. Wonderful remix from Frank & Larsun that will certainly cause havoc whenever played out.

The third remix coms courtesy of fast rising ReCorpo who has seen his releases appear on some of the biggest labels around. ReCorpo's deep, compelling and acutely mysterious and richly textured groove make for a lovely first act. As atmospheres evolve, distinctive stabs and vocal edits steal the air, before a one-minute break takes you further into a haze of psychedelic audio, perfectly setting up a groovy finale. A brilliant remix from ReCorpo that's likely destined for the sets of the big boy brigade. Highly recommended.

With 'Running out of Time' Mononoid in collaboration with Amy Douglas White really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments! German producer LEPPIN returns within the Manual label family after some time of absence. This time he's not alone but he teams up with Amy Baile for this EP's title track, the massive and intense 'Rushed'. A full on melodic techno banger! Yöurr takes care of remix duties by transforming 'Rushed' into an eerie slow moving indie dance cut. Very classy and very cool this one.

On the flip side LEPPIN goes solo and delights us with 'Wallride'. A proper infectious climactic dance floor mover. And as if that's not enough you've got Frank Sonic & Larsun Hesh on board, giving 'Wallride' their very own interpretation.

A pretty intense release this one. Showing once again the versatility of the long running Dutch Manual Music imprint.

A new week brings another brilliant new release on Dear Deer, this time from Alex Schaufel who offers one original and the EP also includes a super remix by Larsun Hesh.
Elizabeth is the sort of epic, subtly uplifting techno tune that gets you in a trance. The majestic leads have something of a middle eastern feeling and the big drums and percussion work you into a real lather. Larsun Hesh then steps up to remix and does so with a sensitive sense of groove. Scuffed kicks and claps make for a rugged vibe, and the freewheeling synths from the original also take center stage here.
These are two more standout techno tunes from Dear Deer.
