post-apocalyptic gathering of efforts through mutual agreement and excitement about coming together as a way to heal and dream of sweeter futures, by sending and receiving vibrations.
after long periods of physical distancing and alienation, intimacy can feel so mythical, our places foreign, our selves unreal.
we find common comforting ground in hidden gems - xenoliths - unique sonic landscapes binded and wrapped together in hopes of radical embrace.

Blunt Abdominal Trauma (Excerpt) [RENT029]

All Centre kick off the new year with a two tracker from label mainstay Holloway. Following a busy 2023 for the London-based artist, holding down a residency on Rinse FM, tearing up parties around the world and launching his own label Waylo, Holloway starts the year as he means to go on with two incendiary club tracks.

Beans opens in atmospheric fashion with lush pads and dubbed-out sirens held together by enthrallingly syncopated percussion. The structure then strips down to allow a wistful, jazz-inflected theme to come to the fore, deftly complimented by a bouncing, descending bassline and a deep kick pattern. Lightly swung drums give an edge of UKG stylings to this deep, introspective cut.

On the flip Holloway ramps up the tempo with Trinco. Soulful chords fuse the sound of 90s DnB into precise, stepping percussion. The track launches into another dimension at the drop, driven by techy drums, growling basslines and warped vocal samples. The track breathes with the reintroduction of the atmospheric pads, before the bassweight emerges again with renewed force.

Holloway - Beans [ACEN055]

Mossambi makes his return to All Centre to follow up the stunning debut Resurf EP from the beginning of 2023. On The AI Told Me To, he delivers 3 more experimental techno exertions backed by a heavy-duty club remix from Holloway.

Reptate opens proceedings with otherworldly vocals stuttering over Mossambi’s distinctively inventive sound design. The track enters an off-kilter, compelling groove composed of deep kicks, growling subs and snippets of microtonal melodies, building up and playing out like an extra-dimensional take on dubstep.

The title track keeps up the momentum with deep kicks and shuffling hats, allowing a lush choral pad to stutter and proliferate amongst the percussive intricacies. The chord is manipulated, filtered and triggered in unpredictable patterns as the track progresses, keeping the listener on their toes whilst Mossambi holds down a transfixing groove.

Mossambi’s final track, Miscellaneous Vegetable Platter, slows things down to a hypnotic 110 bpm pace. A disorienting blend of scrambled vocals, fried digital synths and dubbed-out bass and chord hits are kept in check by steady drums, whilst a frenzied snare roll pushes and pulls at the track’s intensity as the track progresses, crafting an engrossing low-tempo workout.

Holloway translates Mossambi’s glitched vocals and heady sound design onto a ferocious four-to-the-floor groove. A warbling bassline bubbles underneath driving percussion, whilst a syncopated hard house siren brings the energy levels to a fever pitch.

Fujita is well-known in Balkan circuit for his work with  Ljubljana underground collective Nimaš Izbire and more recently, the innovative club program Echo0000. We had a pleasure having him over for our last party where he took us on a wild ride of everything jungle/hardcore based.  His tracks have made waves on labels like Scumtapes, Chao Gardem, SNIF, and Low Income Squad. In this mix anticipate a diverse infusion of old-school rave flavours as well internet aesthetics blended in truly masterful manner.
