I have loved this track SO much ever since I came into contact with it when it was released, if I'm not misstaking was it around 2008-2009. I have always been following Magnus Birgerssons (Solar Fields) work and this track was also among his tracks on the same soundtrack album for the game Mirrors Edge as the main theme.

This remix first started out as a personal fan project over a month ago just for fun and envolved into to this remix. I just wanted to do the track for myself but with my soundscape and a more syntherzied feeling without breaking the core feeling in the track. My friends inspired me to open it, but I strived to do it the good way by contacting the artist first for approval.

I've been sitting on this to long now only sharing it with my closest friends, waiting on that approval to release it. No respons yet after more then 5 weeks. So rather then just sitting on this gem I decided to open it.

When I was trying to get some sleep last night. I got this melody in my head. It drove me crazy as I know I have made something with it a very long time ago. Might have been something I jammed during a live session on the club Anemon or something else, maybe @pax_h remember where it's from? Anyhow I had to go up and open my DAW and document it. I wrote this song the same day I got the news from my daughter that she was pregnant and I was going to be a grandfather for the first time in my life (22 weeks ago). It's been resting until now waiting for the perfect lyrics come to me, fine tuning the mix and soundscape. I started out making the text on English but it didn't catch the right feeling, then I made the text English but with Icelandic accent. Still didn't feel right. Finally I translated the text to Icelandic..... Aye, NOW we are talking Norse!

My great old friend @pax_h requested me to do an instrumental version of what I personally think is my greatest track I made so far. Removing the vocals left a gap, so .... had to add more melody to it.

Silent Eclipse

When I was out with my dog yesterday I got this melody stuck in my head ...when I got home it was still tormenting me. It's simple childish melody but I had to get it out my head so I could find peace once and for all.

So I made build around the melody into this track to release it from my mind. 

But I was strongly going to keep this track private because it is not as elaborate and ambitious as my other works. Rae and Pax convinced me to open it as music-making is, after all, mostly about sharing one's feelings and this was the feeling I got when I was out with my Lia.

I woke up early this morning. During this time of year is it mostly dark and we only get a few hours of daylight. Daytime is usually grey, either snowing or just grey. But days like today, when the sun shines and there are no clouds do it instead become magical, a bit more cold, today it was around -20. The cold weather makes the trees get all frozen and the sky skifts to all kind of opalescent colors. I witnessed this today with my cup of coffee. I had to try and capture this feeling.

It starts as a whisper. A hum in the chest, a doubt clinging to every step. The compass needle, once reliable and steady, begins to tremble. It no longer points the way—only an endless dance between north and nowhere.

I stand still. Feel the wind against my skin, hear the world calling out to me. But each step feels heavier now. It’s as if the ground beneath me is slowly dissolving, and every choice feels as wrong as it does right.

In this void, where silence echoes louder than the noise of my thoughts, a realization begins to dawn. Perhaps it’s not the compass that fails, but me, who no longer dares to follow it. And if direction fades, what remains?

Maybe it’s in the uncertainty, in the act of losing myself, that I will finally be found.

"Angst" was the third track I ever uploaded to SoundCloud, created during my early days exploring FL Studio. At the time, I was new to modern DAWs and still figuring out how to adapt to tools and techniques vastly different from those I used 25 years ago. My goal was to convey a sense of anxiety, but with limited technical knowledge, the result fell short of what I had envisioned.

A friend, Dmitrij, gave me some harsh but honest feedback, calling the track "terrible." Back then, I struggled to understand his criticism, but I kept the project in my archive. Recently, I rediscovered it while going through old FL Studio files, and listening to it now, I finally understood what he meant.

Inspired by a recent bout of personal anxiety, I decided to rework "Angst" using everything I’ve learned over the past year. My goal was to keep the heart of the original but reshape it with the sound I’ve developed and refined—a sound I feel reflects me today. The result is Angst Reborn, a track that blends its original raw emotion with the depth and atmosphere I strive to create in my music.

Me and My Mind is a track that took an unexpected turn. Initially, the instrumental was created for one of my childhood favorites; a song that instantly brings back memories of Be Stiff/ Rip Off, the synth club in Stockholm where I spent every weekend as a 15-year-old.

My plan was to revive that nostalgia, but after countless attempts to extract and refine the original vocals, I had to accept that the quality just wasn’t there. I tried multiple approaches before finally giving up.

Yet, I couldn’t let go of the instrumental; I loved it too much. So instead of looking back, I chose to move forward. "Me and My Mind" became something new, shaped by the echoes of the past but with a mindset focused on the future. It’s not about recreating old memories but about reimagining them into something fresh.

Digital Mantra is all about drifting with the pulse, letting the bass groove and arps carry you. A few vocals lift the vibe, reminding you to 'Let the words flow, let the music take control.' No more, no less. Just ride the wave.

Hollow is a melancholic and atmospheric journey through the landscapes of emptiness. With crashing waves sweeping across a desolate shore, the track carries a sense of resignation and inner struggle. Floating synths and deep, echoing tones create a cold and solitary mood, where every sound seems to vanish into an endless sea.

This is the sound of losing one’s footing, gazing out over a horizon without answers. A reflection of disappointment, yet also a raw honesty; when words are not enough, the music speaks.
