I recently found a whole bunch of mixes I did between 1992 and 1997 and have started the long process of ripping the cassettes to mp3.
As I work through them in no particular order I’ll put them up for download.
Remember the sound quality isn’t great as they were all recorded on belt drive decks through a mixer with no EQ and committed to cassette on a shabby home stereo…But what the hell, it’s that authentic 90s sound through and through.

This one is from 1993. This mixing is terrible but the tunes are great. The track list is lost in the mists of my memory I’m afraid but maybe one of you can ID all the tracks.

Justin Martin's ghetto garden has produced another hefty harvest: a second remix volume from his widely-acclaimed "Ghettos &amp; Gardens" with refixes of all shapes and sizes from some of Justin's favorite producers and best mates. Claude VonStroke takes the vocals of the title track and crafts them into an acid bomb of nuclear proportions, while Eats Everything's Ruff Stuff reruff is a big, Bristolian bully: properly bass-heavy. Leroy Peppers and Shadow Child both bring a 90s DnB vibe to the table; Pepper's remix of Don't Go is crispy and featherlight, while Shadow Child blasts Riding Spaceships through a galaxy of space beats, breaks, and builds. A double-stack of Gurner goodness: Tanner Ross strips the croonin' tune down to a lonely snap and a synth, while Willis Haltom and LOPAZZ choose to give it a warehouse party treatment with synth stabs, Roland rumbles, and a hefty acid attitude. To round out the release, Kill Frenzy adds some of his signature twerked-out bass to Butterflies while Pezzner delivers a thumping, tribal beast of a Molokini remix, replete with cavernous layers of percussion and singing sirens.

the last time i recorded a drum & bass set it was on a cassette tape over 10 years ago. in 2012 i was finally able to return to my original love, dive into my old vinyl, and play some jungle: b2b with eats everything at bestival, b2b with totally enormous extinct dinosaurs at secret garden party, and as a guest of bachelors of science at their monthly at monarch in sf. for those of you who were not able to catch one of these rare pilgrimages back to my roots, i have recorded a special set just for you featuring a handful of my all time favorite records. happy new year and i hope you enjoy!

Here's my description on Clash from fall 2012 :
This mix is a soundtrack to your Indian summer, if you’re having one right now, or a mix for those people that are in need of a lil’ sunshine. It’s a very summery/sunny mix to bring you out of your fall funk. Lots of juke/footwork and a lil’ jungle thrown in for good measure. There’s some jokes in there too. I went for the more soulful style of footwork instead of the colder minimal tunes meant more for the dancefloor. I played this exact set at the XLR8R boat party at Dimensions festival in Croatia this summer.

A true Junglist understands that Jungle is a form of cultural expression that was born in the UK in the early 90s from the sound system culture and rave scene. It reflected feelings with the goal of breaking down racial boundaries, promoting unification through multiculturalism.

Whilst it is incredibly important to remember and educate that this sound we love and celebrate derives from black culture here in the UK, I wanted to step away from the UK scene and pay homage to a label launched in St.Petersburg Russia in 2016 by Label Owner & Music Producer DJ Evgeny “Asymmetric” Sergeev, founder of Dissymetrical Music.

I have been a huge fan of the label since my return to music after a long hiatus. Atmospheric, industrial, raw, militant and ruthlessly rhythmic, with the core elements of our UK sound which to me reflects how life was and still is in Russia.
