Cyanz on the A side took off just as a Sleng Teng copycat bassline in a 303 clone and got warped into this mental acid sub hovered by a ridiculous drum and sampling exercise. This takes you far beyond 160, layering breaks and stuff bit by bit and switching them 8 bars into Concrete Jungle heaven.

A most curious drum & bass custom, the f*ck off has been part of the dancefloor’s vernacular for well over 20 years. But how and why did an insult become such a high-level compliment? And what’s happening socially, psychologically and neurologically when we say it? 

All these questions – and more – will be answered as Dave Columbo Jenkins speaks to a whole host of MCs, DJs, scientists, lexicographers and psychologists to get to the bottom of this intriguing and sometimes controversial tradition.
