This weird little noise you hear at this moment was a mistake Paul made that everybody in the studio (apart from Paul of course) wanted to keep in the track. It makes it sound a little less polished, a little more reckless.

If it feels like there is some musical tension in the chorus to Reckless, that's because we wrote the drums and lyrics in 4/4 and the guitar in 7/8, creating a kind of friction and static that we felt made the song more exciting.
