It's an older song i use to play back when K-Pop was quite popular in a year back~
I used to play this quite a lot. The chords are simple, and i did some improvisations to the overall song~

I've been wanting to cover this for a while. Before this, no matter how i played it, i wasn't satisfied. After a long while. I finally improved in my piano playing. So i gave this song another shot~ :D

I played it quite different from the original version. And for your info, this happens to be the longest piano cover (for a single song) i have ever uploaded~ ! xD

This song has fairly simple chord progressions and melody, but can be really emotional and powerful~

I improvised some parts, and added the Pentatonix "bridge" part as well, to give me more colours~

Say Something - A Great Big World (piano)

Doubt that many of you have heard this song before. It's from one of my favourite bands - Boys Like Girls. This is from their newest album.

The first time I listened to this song, it gave me a sort of sad feel. The kind of feel you get when you leave home, the all too familiar place. 

Just as I'll be leaving for my semester break from uni, I somehow get a little sentimental. I mean, sure it's not my last year or anything, but the thought of leaving something behind, friends, places, and the overall surroundings, the place I got used to in these couple months. 

Somehow leaves me with that kinda feel. So I thought I'd cover this, since I was in the mood, just a few days before leaving uni. :D

p.s. Since I never tried recording a video other than using my home piano, I thought I'd give it a try. This is actually a piano from one of the piano practice rooms in my uni's Arts school. It's the same model and everything as my home's piano actually, but I guess it feels a little different to record from a different piano~

After 2 sems, I finally got down to recording on practice room's piano.... I even bought all my recording stuff since last sem... TT

Leaving California - Boys Like Girls (piano improvised)

I just love this opening theme. It's so bright and colourful! 

I guess I delayed uploading the piano cover due to insufficient practice. Somehow, I felt rather than to rush an upload, I should take time and let the song sink in. Though there are already many covers of this on youtube, I really wanted to upload one of my own, since this song is just so much fun to play~!

Of course, I still feel I have a few slips here and there, but it's been long enough~ :3

Amagi Brilliant Park OP - Extra Magic Hour (piano)

I just had to do another cover of this. One of my favourite Vocaloid songs~

Seeing the crazy amounts of downloads for my previous cover, I was like "TT". Yep, I felt that cover was not that good, and I didn't do the song enough justice... :/

So I had an idea to do another version, a more fast, upbeat one which incorporated my piano playing style~ :)

There are a few slips here and there, but hope you like it~

I actually had an idea and wanted to do this 3-song mashup ages ago, but never got to it... Finally managed to record it~ TT

These 3 songs have similar chord progression, and similar themes, if you think about it. And what's most important, the time signature is the same! :3

"Say Something" gives that kind of desperate feeling of wanting a reply from a loved one. It doesn't matter what kind of reply, as long as some sort of reply is given. He longs for a reply, and the silence is slowly killing him inside. 

However, rather than just walk away, his response can be seen in "A Thousand Years" and "I Won't Give Up".

He waits for her to reply, everyday he waits and longs for it, Since he has loved her for "A Thousand Years", he is willing to "die everyday waiting" for her. Furthermore, he "won't give up" on the relationship no matter whether "the skies get rough", since he has given her "all his love"~ 

I liked how these 3 songs managed to link to each other in some way. A desperate situation and an encouraging reply~

I didnt plan to learn to play this at first, but somehow after listening to a few different piano covers, i kinda enjoyed it (especially the sort of challenging part in the beginning where you play melody in the left hand).
Yes, its an Anime Op cover. And i played it with improvisations in my own style~ 
Not as good as some other covers, but i guess its okay enough for me~ :P
