Berlin based artist Anthea is a well-known figure head of the world minimal scene. Her longstanding residencies at the likes of Berlin’s Club der Visionaere, Moscow’s Rodnya, as well as featuring at all the major stop off around the globe has propelled the Brit into the collective consciousness of our community. Through her incendiary DJ sets, forward thinking productions and her essential imprint Partisan which is home to upfront releases from Giammarco Orsini, Charonne and LVCA. Anthea is also set to take her label story even further alongside Valesco with the offshoot imprint PILLZ featuring collaborations and close friends with the first release coming later this summer from Francesco Carvetta. One half of Charly & Scotch (the Scotch part) French digger Louison is an entirely different proposition to that of the duo. Taking elements of his double act alongside partner in crime Charlotte, Louison brings to the table a large swathe of musical knowledge that directly transfers into his solo business. Being attached to Yoyaku has also meant his touring schedule is also growing at an impressive rate, so there is a high chance he will be enroute to the best parties near you in the not so distant future.

Outside of the finest clubs in the world you can catch his radio show Sélection Naturelle which runs on Radio Meuh. As you might expect from listening to his mix for us he stretches his musical legs right out during these sessions. For his mix for our InSession series Louison switches effortlessly between dusty house, disco infused gems, to rave bangers. Louison has a distinct barometer of quality that only comes from hours scouring record stores and as much time spent in the booth commanding dancefloors.

Co-founder of the Offenbach based label Pager Records always offers something a little bit different in his musical styling. If it doesn’t have that certain funk or edge it just doesn’t make the cut. With a classic deep house sound at his core Evans sways between analogue breaks, more peak time bangers and hazy afternoon jams but always with a phat bassline underpinning the whole situation. If it is at all possible his bombs are room filling house but with a shimmering quality that few from the nu-skool are capable of. His recent ‘S-Mile’ LP is a true testament to this. In a slight change to our scheduled program we deliver just in time for Christmas something rather special. Singularly Voigtmann and John Dimas have been major players on the underground house and techno scene for some time, with their respective labels Subsequent and Elephant Moon both doing important work for the more electro leaning end of the spectrum. They have of course joined forces with devastating effect and the result is VO1GT.M4S – a back to back that combines both artists’ deadly skills both in the studio and in the DJ booth. This combination has seen key performances from the pair in dual mode and they were teasing new joint material in their sets long before they dropped their double wax LP ‘Internal Transmission’ back in August last year on the pairs newly formed joint label Intermission Records.
