GRAT 005 - AA - 'Portrait' by Lazy Day. 

As part of a special limited-edition release for Record Store Day 2015, it gives Lost Map Records great pleasure to welcome and introduce London’s Lazy Day. The lo-fi dreamy-grunge quartet’s stunning track ‘Portrait’ will be available as one-half of a split 7” single together with Lost Map’s own fast-rising Glasgow fuzzy indie duo Tuff Love’s brand new song ‘Groucho’. The single will be on sale in select independent record stores around the UK from Record Store Day on April 18, 2015, then thereafter also from the Lost Map webshop and as an iTunes/Bandcamp download.

Lazy Day - 'Portrait'

Recorded at Lost Map and Kid Canaveral's annual Christmas Baubles show at Portobello Town Hall in December, Most Clunky is a 9 track album featuring live, full 8-piece band versions of songs from Randolph's Leap's debut album, Clumsy Knot (the eagle-eyed amongst you might notice a pun here!). This is a very limited run released in time for Record Store Day and features 12"x12" full colour artwork (available in 5 different colour combinations), handstamped labels and a handwritten tracklisting insert. Limited to 250 copies ... get it while stocks last!

Lost Map Records are excited to announce the brand new single from Kid Canaveral, ‘First We Take Dumbarton'. It’s the first track to be previewed from the Glasgow and Edinburgh-based band’s third album Faulty Inner Dialogue – due for release this summer – and represents the first official new music Kid Canaveral have released since 2013’s Now That You Are A Dancer. The band will embark on a
short Scottish tour in May and appear at festivals this summer including Long Division in Wakefield (see below for a full list of dates).

Lost Map are excited to welcome latest signings Bas Jan, the London experimental post-punk trio built around the remarkable and distinctive voice and songs of multi-instrumentalist and composer Serafina Steer. A brilliant, bonkers, shape-shifting song about the weird tedium of a text message spat (“Drop it? Why don’t you drop it!”), Argument – available to stream and share now – is the first single to be revealed from Bas Jan’s forthcoming debut album Yes I Jan, due early 2018. The track was produced by Leo Abrahams. Serafina is one of the latest winners of the prestigious Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Awards for Artists.
