The seventh episode of my monthly show on Ma3azef Radio, which originally aired in February, 2021.

Whitelabrecs’ takeover, bookended by songs from the two compilations they released in January with the middle section focusing mainly on soundtracks. The first of these compilations, The Home Diaries, features tracks from all 30 albums released in the Home Diaries lockdown series released in Spring 2020. The second compilation, “Ennio’s Muse”, aims to raise funds to generate funds and interest into an ambitious project called Return to Sea and Sardinia.

7 - Whitelabrecs x Pie Are Squared Takeover (Ma3azef Radio - February '21)

DESTITUTE label is back with our fourth release - the last one we have for you in 2021. This time we’re bringing you More Balance / خاڪو by ABADIR, a producer hailing from Cairo and currently stationed in Berlin, and 3HDSafxri, a producer that has been working within the Polish experimental scene for a long, long time. After the club constructions of our previous release this one plays with genres and breaks them down to create music that is as gentle and emotional as it is dramatic and hard hitting.

The entire proceeds from this release will be given to Chlebem i Solą - a Polish charity that is currently working way too hard to manage the migrant crisis on our border with Belarus.

Gratitude (feat. Ali Soliman)

This song generates a musical sequence using EEG brain wave data of an anonymous epilepsy patient. It examines the periods before, during, and after a seizure. The goal is to give the listener an empathetic and intuitive understanding of the brain’s neural activity during a seizure.

Please note: I have no formal education or training with diagnosing or interpreting a seizure using EEG brain scan data. I have done my own research to the best of my abilities, but all in all, this is a purely creative endeavor and should in no way be interpreted as scientific research or be used in any context other than in this creative one. For sake of transparency, I have detailed my process for creating this song in the link below and have made all relevant code publicly accessible.
