Bag Lyset er en gådefuld fortælling om universet – eller illusionen af det. Med en stemme, der hvisker tvivl ind i mørket, udforsker nummeret idéen om, at stjerner og planeter måske blot er kulisser. Musikken og ordene smelter sammen til en rejse ind i det ukendte… et sted, hvor sandheden gemmer sig bag lyset.

De siger, der findes et rum.
Et uendeligt mørke, hvor stjerner fødes og dør.
Men når jeg løfter blikket mod nattehimlen, ser jeg kun prikker af lys – men ingen beviser for det, de kalder stjerner.

Hvad er stjernerne egentlig?
Er de brændende sole langt væk…
eller blot lys, placeret i et himmeltæppe, vævet til os, for at vi skal tro?

De fortæller os, at planeter drejer lydløst i kredsløb,
at vi svæver på en kugle i et endeløst intet.
Men intet i mit hjerte bekræfter det.
Her står jeg, fast, urokkelig – og alt føles tæt, nærværende.

Måske er rummet ikke virkeligt.
Måske er universet en historie, en illusion,
en kulisse for et teater, vi aldrig har forladt.

Og hvis det er sådan…
så er vi ikke små.
Vi er centrum.
Vi er alt

Neil Malkan, rising progressive house producer from India, makes his debut on our label with the release Collider. The original track is driven by dark basslines and a hypnotic lead throughout, delivering a powerful journey on the dancefloor. The release also features two remixes with a mature sound: Will DeKeizer (US) adds his deep and driving touch, while Greg Tomaz (India) strips it back with a refined, progressive rework. Together, the EP showcases versatility and marks a strong debut for Neil on the Shady&Friends roster.

Coming for a Musician family was at the young age of 17 when Aracil moved from the north of Spain to London, and discover his passion for the electronic dance music, making, that same year, his first appearances as a Dj within the local scene. In 2012, Aracil moved to Ibiza, and start to work on his first productions.

A mixture of energy and harmonies defines Aracil personal sound, which rides between the melancholy and euphoria that distinguish a very unique style of production, as he is always trying to push forward the boundaries, and tell a story with every song. His style as a DJ ranges from pure deep house to melodic techno, with many influences of music from Berlin. His last tracks were released on Einmusika Recordings with Niconé, the Berlin label Dantze and the label run by Pablo Bolivar, Seven Villas Music.

Since 2012, Aracil has been part of the Ibiza scene, performing in most of the best-known venues of the Island, Ushuaia, Space Ibiza, Pacha, Destino Pacha, Privilege, Km5, Beachhouse and his last residency at Heart Ibiza among many others sharing booth with all biggest headliners, leading him to be chosen by Emerging Ibiza as one of the best new incomer DJ/Producer of 2015, and participate that same year in the DANCEFAIR IBIZA. From the last two years, Aracil was playing at the Dj Awards Ceremony and the International Music Summit (IMS).

Aracil performed in many places in Spain and all over the world like Berlin, Paris, Buenos Aires, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Singapur, Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Zanzibar, Izmir and many more.

His first steps in electronic music were when he developed a House/Nu Jazz project with saxophonist Florencio Cruz which led them to tour around Mexico. He has now had releases on big labels such as Sudbeat, Balance, Go Deeva, When We Dip, Natura Viva, King Street, MoodFunk. His music is all about groove and percussions with African influences and textures of melodic deep house pianos, synths, and vocals."

For our next episode, we are happy & excited to present one of our favourite duos, the Greek truly talented Miraval.

Miraval has been a deep need to express an innate balance among sound, motion and feeling. During the Spring of 2017, Dimitris & Lazarus Kitsas gave shape to their strong connection with mount Olympus, where they grew up and got inspired. Their love for deep electronic music, combined with various multicultural influences, made them create unique "escapes" appealing to every sense. 

They beautifully crafted for us an eclectic mix of a quality deep, fresh and vital sound. Expect dreamy melodies and deep grooves. This wonderful musical journey closes with "Falling Leaves", an unreleased original track from them.
